Beacuse nobody doesn't know about this thread. I have one question.. Is useless when I press W at the end of LJ ? Thx.
yes its useless unless you make a big strafe with the W .. try it by type-ing in console kz_min_lj 0 .. than go with W and jump without strafing .. than try with a big fast strafe with W .. it wont give you big speed but can add some , and my advise is to use a-d only .. UNLESS ITS SW
you dont have to press it. when you are "landing" just press duck nothing else. i think that if u press duck+a/d/w/s u are losing speed. :D
nah spaniolu you are wrong .. if you press duck and A or D .. you are not loosing speed.. you are loosing speed if you press it and than make fast or sharp strafes... so just when you press duck at the end of the jump try to make a slow one strafe, hope i helped
actually you have to strafe until the last unit, and when you duck you should not have any time left to do a strafe.. if u get used to ducking at the last unit, youll duck too late on a lower jump, but thats good to get a record

ontopic .. im not quite sure about the thing that when you do the last strafe and duck you shouldn't have the time to strafe in the duck ... like it was said in the thread about noduck ljing.. duck gives about 20 units difference.. so when you duck .. you have 20 units time to strafe .. this is what i think , but still everybody thinks you are the lj king so everybody thinks that im talking shit :D .. who cares.. :D
my maxspeed sucks :/ i can hit 250s pretty easily with like 315 max, idk how to get it higher
if this is a question i can tell you only this maxspeed depends on the size and how slow or sharp are your strafes .. bigger slower strafes can add a lot of maxspeed and are better for bhoping..
medium sized strafes for me are the best for lj :)
and small strafes can be really good but have to master em a lot .. so it mostly depend on you ..
otcheto when u are pressing duck and doing a little strafe u might have +1 or 2 units or something?

i think i do one 250 a day. i just don't understand :s
spaniolu im trying to make my lj forward when i duck i dont know how to explain it so il make a pic and edit :)
crashdu you can have stats like r3bels and still hardly do 250 , it kinda depend on the size of strafes (the maxspeed) so just train :) (you will probably do smaller stats soon but get greater distance , my advise is to try to make the 5 strafes slower.. )
So, the thing that make longjump go far is the size of the strafe, that give you a good maxspeed?
When I do big strafes I only get to 239/240 units but with 2strafes, cant do more and my maxspeed is very low (297)!
When I do more strafes I can go to 243 but my maxspeed is under 300 to =/ Bet maxspeed is 312 with 4strafes and I get 243 units!
My pre speed is good I think always 273+ =/
I mastered from 230 to 243 in less than 1 week to!!
Do I must try to do BIGER straf??
im not talking about every strafe should be big for me best is the first 3-4 to be really big , 1st one biggest , and the other little smaller than the first one .. and if you can sinchronyz em , you will probably get good maxspeed .. but maxspeed isn't all in the lj .. ^^ so you can get l0w distance..
DONT MAKE THE LAST STRAFE BIG , if you make the last strafe bigger than the strafe before it you can lose speed and distance..
I see ppl who jump 250+ with 3 & 4 strafes...
On this demo - Link i do 4 strafes and i can't jump over 245+.. why?
Normally I do 3 strafes and do a 240 units, I think is the pre strafe and the Sync ;)
But I every time try to do 5+ strafes.
First of you need to learn how to sync the strafes. Doesn't matter if it's 7 or 3 if you can't sync them you will be living on the stats you get. Just keep practicing an amount of strafes u can handle untill you feel "confident" and sure that you can go up. You don't need to do more than 6 imo.
Or try play some hard-extreme kz maps so your strafes are used to be working all the time.
maxspeed its not so important.... Can somebody do a plugin that shows you the average speed?? i think thats more important that the maxspeed. you can have maxspeed 330 at the first strafe and then you can have 300 at the other1s. :D
Apart from the v sync can affect something else?
