Connect to a LAN server?

hi i have a friend [ count ] that can write [ sv_lan 0 ] in console. then after like 4 mins his server is online. How can i do that too?

like what should i do in my router? PLease help me :\

open your router setup -> port forwarding -> add ur ip and server port (27015)

why cant i renew my ip? i had 10.0.0.2 before.. now i have 192.168.1.3 , and i cant change it. it says something is offline or whateveR:S help:P

10.0.0.2 and 192.168.1.3 are both private ip addesses, did you get them from the router? If you want to use portforwarding you will have to use a static ip!

You should draw us a little picture showing your LAN and your connection to the net with ip addresses. That would speed up this enormously.

your server has 2 ip adresses:
your LAN IP:Port
your dynamic IP:Port
your mate needs the second one to connect on your server
just look at www.whatismyip.com to get ur dynamic IP

Remember in hamachi, you have to copy the IP adress in hamachi, not the real ip.. :-)

And if i'm not mistaken, CS listenserver uses a different port? (27005)

over friends, they see my server and my ip, but they dont see wich map, ping and cant join

Try "connect " in console instead. The IP must be the one you see from Hamachi.
