Pre-strafe & Multi-strafe?

Hey Im A Newbie at this section.. so can someone plz try to explain for me what's the difference between pre-strafe and multi-strafe :)

Prestrafe is what you do on the ground BEFORE you jump, to gain speed. Multi-strafes are what you do in the AIR, to gain more speed.

Does it mather if I duck in the air while im strafing, or if I duck in the end of the jump.. ?

yes, you have to duck at the end when you made your strafes
