Kreedz.com - CS 1.6 KZ World Records & Maps

Hey guys,

I'm sure a lot of people were already waiting for this newspost ever since the LJ section was put down for maintenance, so here we go... finally :)

Okay, first of all you should have known that non-steam demos are not allowed on XJ. A lot of them were submitted and accepted (because we didn't check that yet), but now (after the LJ section got checked again completely) such demos were removed, of course.

Hello there!
The wakening isn't easy, don't you think?

I hope you all spent a wild night partying until 6:00am, owning the dancefloor and having fun with your friends.
Our american friends must still be dancing at the moment, lucky guys...

Anyway, the whole Xtreme-Jumps Staff wishes you a healthy and successful new year!

A new decade is starting today, let's hope it will bring us as many new things as 2000's brought us.

Hey guys,

christmas is almost over, but yet there is another present for you - a project I've been working on during the last half year: a big and complete Kreedz Tutorial!

It includes all the main kreedz techniques out there and explains the main kreedzing techniques in a way every beginner should be able to understand and learn them. It also help very beginners to find their way into the huge and wide world of kreedz climbing and getting started in its last chapters :) However, their might be some additional information and some extra knowledge for everyone who's interesting what's causing highjumps to be harder or what's making edgebugs or jumpbugs even possible :)

Hey guys,

it's actually done. KZmod Beta4.2 is ready to play and brings so much extra fun to everyone who is ready to try it (in case you don't know it already).

Remember, KZmod is a Half-Life2 Mod (Full conversion mod) for the source engine. It covers climbing, bhop maps (sv_bhop "1" aka AXN and bhop maps with sv_bhop 0), longjumping, laddermaps, raceways, slidemaps, surfing, bungee maps and much more. Recent additions include: 1.6 doubleducking, 1.6 standup physics, 1.6 ladder engine, a HUGE load of EASY maps for beginners, 300+ map fixes, 5 new Awards, 2 new gameplay modes and much more other important bugfixes (no more lags if the server is full) that make this update feel like the final version almost. Full infos, screens and videos about the mod can be found at

Hey guys,

really a sad day for the kz world and a sort of premiere, in a very negative way though: 2 newsposts about cheater in a row.

I never thought the day would be coming when I have to ban one of out top5 players... named heL^_x.

Apparently he and some other french guys were thinking that spr1n is cheating so desperately, that they decided to create a "undetectable" plugin to make jumpbug and submit a cheated demo themselves. Therefore they created a plugin that had godmode enabled, and did remove the sounds of it... With this plugin you can do a normal duck standup bhop with godmode enabled to imitate a jumpbug. However, it was kinda obvious to see, even without fps-death admin. However, a closer check brought more than enough evidence since this was very easy to detect.

Hey there,

old story that happens to repeat itself on and on. You know the thrill already... Some people made an egoistical attempt to get their name on the record list (and some fame?) even though they don't deserve it (because obviously they are missing the skills to get it in a legit way), by submitting cheated demos again. Come on guys, how can you be proud of it at all, if you know that the "record" was made with unfair methods?

Hey there,

As you might have noticed our beloved coder sj^ made us a brand new submitmovies.php. All of our official moviemakers can use this form to see the data of our moviesubmission FTP account and therefore upload their new movies directly to our server via FTP - and don't need to use a cheap filehoster anymore.

Due to the latest incidents (Icetiger's movie) we decided that it's better to ask for the demos if a movie is submitted, therfore you need to upload the demos (or at least the best ones) with the movie from now on, if you want your movie to be on the front page.

Here we go for another movie!
This time it's a minimovie made by V0nch with several trickjumps perfomed by Icetiger.
Clean edit, good music and cool trickjumps: these make the strengh of this 2:30 minutes long minimovie. Enjoy!

*movie removed*

/update by faker: I just received the demos and checked them, thanks to V0nch. They were recorded with invalid clientsettings: sv_gravity "730", edgefriction "1" (removes the edgefriction and makes highjumps as easy as longjumps) and airaccelerate 100... so obviously the whole thing was faked/"cheated".

In two weeks everyone will hopefully celebrate a very enjoyable Christmas! For this reason kzmod.com will be proud to present you the newest beta version as a Christmas gift.

The beloved coder and guardian of the project SoUlFaThEr and the kzmod.com team have once again managed to fix a lot of bugs and furthermore, they added a lot of new additions! Especially for the current 1.6 players the addition of doubleducks, a lot of new and easy maps for beginners and a smooth demo replay should be interesting.

Hey Guys,

As you might have already noticed the LJ section got updated. We know it's been a while, but we had several problems finding a motivated person who took care of the LJ demos since thopa had to leave the staff. It's a very boring and hard work, since you have to check a lot of stats and also quite a few people try to cheat with slowmo, lj scripts and other nasty tools. Of course we want to keep the list as clean as possible, therfore contact with eDark and some further coordinations are needed - not an easy job. In addition to that there were about 400 demo submissions, a big number which doesn't give much motivation to start. However, now it's done, just wanted to explain why you had to wait so long. Sorry for the inconveniences caused. :)
