the mainreason was not the fps boost. its just that the demo file will not show water if you use this plugin to make water invisible.

individual hardware is part of the skill at the moment unfortunately. I wish they had one computer for everyone to record wrs on, then we'd see some real skill, instead of wrs where kids miraculously get 1000 perfect bhops with shitty mice like mx518 *cough gizpo_O*.

If someone makes a tool to make water visible then we can use it in records? I guess there is only to change 1 bit in entity flag, but for more comfotrability better to add a command to plugin that shows entities' ids that were "NODRAW"n
showing the ids of all entities made invis by the plugin itself is a piece of cake. however, you have to talk to a headadmin of xj since allowing this plugin would require some changes within the demo policies. changing the water back to being visible in the demo file would be a job for edark (is he still around?)...
unfortunately equip has always played a huge role in competitions and if you cannot afford competitive equipment you unfortunately cannot think anyone will really care for that :)
and tbh, the engine of cs is very, very, very, very, very, very uber very old. 6-7 year old computers should handle every (well made) map easily.

Intresting post hii! Good hardware seems to be an advantage.
as far as i remember computers a few years ago had small fluctuations in terms of fps. fps was jumping between 99.7-99.9 in a few lj demos but i guess nowaday pcs pull of a nearly constant 99.9 fps which might be a minor advantage when longjumping but not a big deal when kreedzing in generell.
however i got nothing to proof this atm, just a small memory i had but i didnt really play cs now for like 2.5 years? idk xD
