1) Some ppl can just be good... ever thought of that? "xxx" hours every day and "extreme patience" is not needed in that case.. For example : it took player a 6 months to get cliffez in under 1:40, but it took player b 10 years even though hes played cliffez as much as player a.. that happens all the time..

1) I don't think there's such thing as talent. Player A in my opinion obviously was more devoted to playing it.
2) I agree. Trying to do a good time in a kz map really takes patience...

They just shouldn't try to become popular from it. It ruins (erhm .. ruined?)this community.
Sure both KZ and longjumping eats a lot of time if you want to become good at it, but I really hope people start realizing what an adventure climbing KZ maps is, compared to longjumps. As I've said many times before longjumping is a technique you use when climbing (hard) maps, nothing more.
And guys, forget bhop too, that's also a technique you can use when climbing KZ maps. Sure bhopping isn't as repetive as longjumping, but it is still wrong to almost only jump bhop maps. But again, if people wanna do it, it's fine with me as long as it doesn't affect others too much.
I think bhopmaps were originally made as "fun maps", but I guess people started liking them more and more. Same goes for longjumps?

Totaly agree, but as long as mappers will create so much hard maps like in last release - this "omg, I did only 256lj and 266cj - I'm so noob" wont stop... 1 more reason 2 <3 you mappers... i think you thrashed a top10 on a easy climb map with standups on a local server some time ago otcheto dunno if it waz you but it had youre nickname and lag ....
i also think you shou make some time and try to record a dem in a bhop map or easy climb so you can show the comunity something other than longjumps [atleast thats what i understand allot of peaple want too see beeing sick of ljing :|]

Well, from what I've noticed, newcomers or generally just the people that play kz today, barely ever plays the good oldschool maps. There are tons of maps that could be jumped more, but most people are just jumping the new maps, or bhopmaps (should I blame the XJ server for this?) .. Most of the old maps are just totally forgotten, and that is sad.
I think there are 2 reasons why people call otcheto a lj geek.
1) Most of them are just mad because otcheto gets famous in a short time/way by longjumping. It's like popping up, doing 255lj and get famous. That's why people hate it so much because they consider it as something simple and minor to kzing. However if it was that simple, why are there only 8 people who did 255 then? Oh wait, you will probably say 'because they geek it' Good excuse but you just don't want to admit that you can't lj as good as them, otherwhise you would be geeking it too. It's normal that you train and play something which you are good at. And minor to KZ, so what? KZ is minor to CS. If you tell SpawN that you are good at kzing, he will probably not laugh like you guys but say 'well im happy for you', otherwhise he's a lowass too.
This feeling btw, is called: jealous.
2) The 2nd group of people are those who are frustrated because otcheto act's like he's the best. I don't know if that's true because I don't know him personal so.. but however I can back you up on this guys, arrogant people will never be the best because their attitude won't bring them far. It's not about skills only, it's also about personality, attitude, motivation, devotion, ... And I also agree with this: being the best in longjumping won't make you being the best in KZ.
However some people think that the difference between longjumping and KZ is as big as the difference between normal cs and KZ, and that's bullshit ofcourse. The basics of longjumping and real kz jumping are the same if you didn't notice, they both need strafes? So a good longjumper will probably be a good kzer and a good kzer will probably be a good longjumper. I think Brian and zhady can do more than 245lj, even with their eyes closed. And what about niconen and t3dbundy? They could do more than just only longjumping just like Bibo and Cordyline atm so the people who think kz and ljing are 2 completely different things are wrong.

I disagree, I think he is talented. Having a talent means being good at something, much better than most people which otcheto is in longjumping. And again, don't respond with the 'geeking' excuse. If that's the only reason why they are good at longjumping then there would be a lot more people in the recordlist with 255lj, and don't tell me that only 8 people are geeking lj. :)

OK, ljing is minor to KZ. But like I said before, KZ is minor to normal CS. So SpawN is more famous than Brian and Brian is (probably) more famous than otcheto. But I think they all diserve some respect and let them be famous for the things they are good at.

Again: let people play whatever they want and if they are good at it, well let them be famous for it and give them some respect. But I agree, arrogant people (who think they are the best) don't belong here, however you got those people in each game, not only longjumping. But you guys are trying to say longjumpers are arrogant people which is a stereotype.

No, cuz my jb skills "showoff" is only on my avator, while like people say oTecheTo makes hes lj/jc "showoff" evrywhere he can.
When I'm silent in my bug and other (not pro) skills he is shouting out loud obout hes lj/cj skills and nothing more.
Imho, I think that he is like that, cuz he's afraid of loosing them, so he g33ks them like omg - I once was like that and in ljs. L8r I found out, that lj isn't what will make me uniqe and that your uniqe thing has to come from inside & w/o g33king it. When Tjubby found jb - i made it third try and wasn't geeking it in at all - was only testing my abilityes (w/o demos & w/o caring who what will think, cuz I'm doing that 4 myself). And when found them out - become even more silent in it. Plus never was a showoff. Max showoff what I made - was training some jumpers to do it. Had and have no critical need in abilityes, cuz I realy don't care will my face will be in some wr list. Cuz 2 get remembered in kz scene you don't have 2 found a new uber technique or do an impossible jump - you have 2 ern respect. Can give simple example: if t3d was some mtf, but had thows skills - you think he wold be rememered? If TarGet wasn't so showoff, but had thows skills - you think he wodn't be rememered like t3d? Understand, it's not obout skills - it's obout how much you are willing to show them, and what to do with them, not talking how you will do that...
