All good things come to an end...
Years pass by, and as XJ is slowly becoming a longjumping community, other things went to the dark side of the moon.
Among all great things that it brought us, there were bad and sad things too. Happy tears, as well as extreme rage came from all of us.
When it first started, it was pretty small, an amusement place. It got bigger and bigger, new people started joining, me including, and alot of my inet friends. The bigger it was, the more competitive it was. When i got invited into the team, i was really happy i could be a part of these cool people.
Its now been a few months, even years, that surfing has been dead in north-america, which expanded into europe. Postin this here cuz ive seen alot of familiar faces in both of these communities. (and cuz its pretty cool imo) But now, 18th august 2008, it is officially dead!

oh yeah , and what should officialy death mean ? .. there are still a lot of surf survers and sufers i think you just dont like it anymore...

surf-cs is the xj of surfing
of course u can still hang out at kzm or insilio but its not like xj
I hate surfing :D It requires almost no skill at all..
Can't say im gonna miss it because i never surf, but sad for all the hardcore surfers though...

How come XJ is becoming a LJ community? There's way more KZ records released now than 2-3 years before, even though the world records are getting much harder to beat and there's fewer new maps. There's better climbers today and there's better longjumpers today.

Some of this is true, but we can see, are ONLY the same people that is beating demos. brian, zhady, supa, flibo, cordyline, hel, etc, etc
We really can see, some people only try long blocks like 253+ to stay on the LJ records. and 256 is possible, but is more harder than kz_megabhop done in 01:35

It would be really cool if Lj rec didnt matter at all, then so many people would try to beat records
To beat wr is harder than to jump 250+

You got a point, but look at the record rankings. There's more people who have records compared to a few years before. I wouldn't say it's always the same people. There's new names coming up all the time.
Imo they should remove the LJ section... Most people voted for when that poll was up so i say get rid of it...

some maps are so xtrme, if u dont master multistraf/lj/cj/bhoplj/dropbhopetcetcetc u cant end it.
the people are allowed to do whatever they want.. if they want to lj let them.. lol

You really don't need over 4 strafes in any kz map including mineblock and sand2, discluding some long jumps or sc's. By long jumps I don't mean longjumps, but jumps that are long and have height difference, a good example most of the kz players should know are sc's in maps e.g. kz_j2s_icevalley or kz_j2s_cupblock. (Those are doable with 4 strafes I guess, but I mentioned them just to make sure most of the readers understand what I meant with "long jumps".)
