If you read some of the previous posts, then you would see that the people in hidenseek.eu ain't like that, ofcourse there is a few of those people coming now and then, but in general we are trying to keep the game as we loved it back in the days.
I wouldn't say that the tone in HNS is much worse than in KZ. Not on those HNS servers I play on. Usually when somebody, whines, flames or talk bad about other people, a lot of people react by saying, something like, "easy now". And that works. I really like the general tone there is actually, the atmosphere is good.
I would hope though, that HNS.eu would grow, and become the undisputed official community.

because it's not that old as kz. kz has been played in cs 1.5 and ppl knew about the "bhop" in 1.1 (with no slowdown)

Well, hidenseek basicly is an older game than kz, and dont misunderstand me on that, you could play hidenseek from the first version of counter-strike was released, but you couldn't play kz at the first day, sure KZ has people developing it much more than hns has been, but hns is actually an older "mod/game" than KZ.
I like HNS, but I don't like that theres only 3-4 maps on every server!
btw I rly wanna see top10 KZ climberz playin' 5v5 on HNS :D

Exactly my opinion, but to get in the range of all type of hidenseek players, we are going to have one server that will run rooftops and the newer maps, then we have a server that runs the oldschool maps (train, nuke, vertigo, siege etc).
A deathmatch server that runs a little mix of old and new maps (mostly old).
So i think we are coming close to a nice target of players.
Nowdays many kz players are playing HNS and the level of the game is higher and higher so n00bs try to keep up there so those guyz say when they kill u " haha n00b :/ " or trying to be a pro " wtf u are runner idiot ".
The thing with rooftops is that is the most played map everyone when they enter to a hidenseek server they say : " is there any admin ?? please change to roof " they always want to show u that they got "tha skillzz".
I see a lot of mappers which are trying now to do hns maps which is uber nice.
I get bored like in 5 minutes on rooftops such a "popular" map its played on a custom maps server like 1/2 of the day ffs. :(

ikm, i wouldn't say it's for runners, since everyone has their own style, i dont care if people run tbh. - Its a game and you want to win in the main race.

You can run on all maps, but what is running? - For some people its the only way to survive, for others its just to get to the place they love before they make tricks?
running aint a problem in hns, most ppl got a functional brain that tells them to play fair. and to be honest, there aint more runners nowadays then before at the "oldschool"times it's just that more ppl are whining about it.
The problem is that rooftops is getting to popular and it's getting old for more and more ppl. and then they stop playing hns or go 100aa.

Uhh... You shouldn't stop people from playing what they want. Let them do what they want to. If they don't want to play HNS with your settings, just let them be.
The main point is to survive, no matter if you run imo.
