i uploaded @ yt, so ppl can see it -.- (lazy ppz aswell)
So by seeing it you want their opinion for the quality right? How am I supposed to judge it if I can't see it in it's actual resolution and compression. How am I supposed to tell whether there are compression artifacts or not and so on and so forth. Thought I should make it a bit more clearer for you. ^

Touche.
Based on quality and file size alone, h.264 > xvid hands down which is what this thread is about.
Happy? :p

uhm im pretty sure this thread is ONLY about quality, so xvid is win too and even wmv and much more because u can just do a uber high bitrate and you get pwnage quality.
Happy.
the quality is not that uber... look at the edge of the knife ...
well st0ka you can compare this vid to other vids to youtube , you know whats normal good for a movie quality on yt so you should easy be able to judge by jt movie ?

sambb - Flying steps looks like shit on youtube, does that mean the original file looks like shit as well? No.

i am just testing my colours ("skills" in 1st post) + the quality, i just wanted to upload yt for all lazy people, and check the quality on youtube.
--Download it, trust me, its worth it
watch this quality test please: http://www.sendspace.com/file/bla0e7
I used startmovie mov1 320
43mb/min
x264
Remember: more fps -> more smoothness -> more quality

Ye also more playback issues and unrealistic look :D
Vonch the quality compared to your filesize was pretty good. Quality itself was good too but you have to fix your anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering in your graphic card settings. Set them to their maximum values or at least 8x for the anti-aliasing and 16x for the anisotropic filtering (think it was 8xS or something for nVidia video cards). The edges on the knife were choppy. These settings will fix the overall quality and will make the edges smoother. Enabling triple buffering might help as well.
P.S. Ehm Spanioulu all I got from your vid is black screen. :E
