If this whole forum is an attack, it is definitely not the forums fault, it is the people who post in here. It should be possible to suspect some people to cheat in a mature way, without anyone getting upset.
I personally think that if the "suspect" gets mad about a cheat suspicion, he is probably cheating.
I somewhat agree that it can easily get "hot" in here, and that it probably would be better less controversial if you told admins on IRC about your suspicions, than in a public forum on the biggest kz community.

So if one person has suspected someone of cheating, people might take it into consideration and "investigate" it a little, they probably never thought about it themselves.
@Tess: If this thread is a cheat suspicion, does it mean that some people actually get upset about people having videos on YouTube with cheated demos?
As long as he is not rubbing it in your face, and trying to get attention, I don't really see why you would care about his YouTube videos. He is not destroying any fun in the game for anybody else by recording cheat demos on his LAN server.
Now I made it sound like Hazard actually IS cheating, but I know nothing about that, so I'm again not going to say anything about it.

Yea that's true and it's the good side. But it's still a compromise then, since you accept that people maybe get hurt if they see their names here, because you want to bust cheaters.
Maybe we should think about it ones again if this system is really the best one. If the community accepts this kind of humbling, it's of course not a problem.

Very true, therfore I went through the thread again and added some warnings and the ban for that pron "exploit". If you can't control your temper don't post here at all, or take some minutes before you hit "submit".
Actually the forum was also meant to discuss recently submitted and or released demos on XJ which might seem kind of fishy (just like one of the demos the very next release is going to have - 1 accepted and 1 denies).
Our current system might not be perfect, we try as hard as we can to keep away cheat demos, but if we do a mistake this is the place where it can and should be reported.

My opinion as a person/user:
I can understand that many people think the video looks suspicious and fishy. Very impressive and effective bhops, but a very inaccurate and unsmooth mousemovement (example: use of the ladder, how the mouse if moved when turns are done)... doesn't seem to fit together. On the other hand 7D proved us several times that you don't need a smooth and perfect style to do good and impressive demos.
So we can't know for sure.... and btw: I'm not saying you are cheating, I just say I do understand the suspicion.
Especially on times when a lot of ppl think they need to use kzh or other stuff to destroy kz in their selfish attempt to get some "personal fame".

And btw... I don't think the thread should closed, as long as the people stick to the rules and try to behave.

Its not that im hurt to see my name, in a way i guess i did expect people to think i cheat because my motives for playing the game are alot different to many players these days.
the thing that annoys me the most is, that im a fairly trusting nice person, and it somewhat shocks me to see that people just jump on the 'he cheats' bandwagon without knowing me at all. because that's not something i would do..like i said before when u look back at the comments, all the people that play with me frequently, or even just a few times maybe in the phoogi server say i dont cheat. but everyone that has never played with me before just seems to assume i do. its not fair at all and thats whats insulting to me. if you really think i cheat and it's affecting you so badly maybe try to add me in steam and come play in pub or lan or something and maybe see that im just a nice person who plays this game for fun in my free time, rather than i assuming i play to cheat and be famous or something stupid like that.
no offence to anyone who seems to believe otherwise, but i KNOW this thread was created out of spite, siw probably just searched me in youtube to try to dig up dirt after what i said in that thread. after all, if he really suspected it such a long time ago, why wait till the day i insult his credibility to post it? sorry but i cant agree with you on that tess :S
Well after 4 pages of speculation i think it is time to close this thread. For me now more than ever i would say its safe to assume that to be trusting is not a common human instinct, and thats disappointing. although to say that would be to say i expected otherwise...anyway i really do appreciate those who were willing to listen, or to just trust me, and would be happy to play in pub with those who didnt, and even those that insulted me with no factual basis. im not one to hold a grudge.

Youtube is pretty much bigger than XJ hazard, and the last time I checked youtube was still connected to zeh internetz. -> E-fame -> Fail.
You could've just uploaded it without your name, and without the '(WR)' if what you're saying is true...
...And by not submitting the demo this issue gets more attention then it would've gotten if you uploaded it, so everything is pretty much fail.

SIGH! this just goes around and around in circles, ive explained like 5 times that i aksed for that video for the wrong reasons, as you guys say, BUT have since asked him to take it down MANY MANY times! he wont take it down! cause hes a beginner moviemaker and is proud of it/the views and shit like that, and as i said also, its not my responsibility what he does with it.
and you're right, people will suspect me and i guess i have to leave them to their own ignorance, and thats what i'm gonna do.

about leaving the community kunqui, im not gonna do that, i come to this site cause i enjoy playing kz and want to know whats going on in the community, not in terms of the world records, but other things like changes in rules etc.
and i think the community needs someone like me, as arrogant as that may sound, and as annoying as i may be....cause theres alot of things that arent perfect on this site and theres very few people that will let the admins know what they really think, and thats necessary for change. a community cant move forward if its just a pack of yes men. this site needs people to raise issue for the admins to see areas in need of change, and i guess i feel like thats my place in this community, not just another guy submitting his wrs and accepting the way the site is without caring.

SIGH im so sick of people not even reading my posts! i cant even count the amount of times ive explained....i said it was a lapse in character - meaning at the time i gave him the demo i was trying to prove to people that i was good to get my opinion across - and have since realised that wasnt the right way to go about it and have requested its removal - is that clear to everyone? ok...
and i did say in my LAST post! i do care. just not about world records, i care about the fact that the site has flaws and endeavor to try to point them out to the admins (though ultimately unsuccessful) and to the rest of the community.
to reiterate - when i say i dont care, it means i dont care about having word records, or who has world records, but it just pisses me off to see so many explicitly obvious flaws and injustices and to see nobody doing anything about it, and like i said before (this is a reply to you vodkaboy) - that is what i feel my role is in this community, to try to make a difference and bring about contemplation for new ideas and change. some might be happy just to see whats going on but i feel obliged to attempt to make a difference and voice my opinion when i see something that from my perspective is unjust.
so, to reiterate AGAIN - i stay, and post, on this website because i feel like i have to. it just who i am and if that annoys you im not going to apologise.
secondly, dont get the impression that im trying to void myself of the responsibility of the pc_bhop video - i have recognised countless times that ofc, i instigated the idea of the movie. however try to think back to when you made a mistake and wanted nothing but to put it behind you. Im not saying everything is his 'fault', im saying theres nothing i can do about it now because whats done is done.
anyway i hope that explains to everyone my motives and ideology, because i really dont want to have to say it again.
