dont play mmorpgs :S they are too addictive, take up too much time and distract you from important things.
the ArmouRz and t3h MagicZ arent worth it.

I played for a long time on Dream of Mirror Online - Europe version.. As what I heard it'll soon be deleted, but well, the japanese version still exists, and it's a cool game.. But Hazard is so fucking right. 2much4ddictiv3.

Lineage II is pretty cool, so does Aion!
Final Fantasy XI is really hardcore, you got to spend WAY more time than a game like WoW.

I advise you to find a private server with higher rates than the official servers, it's less addictive in my opinion.

RF Online is really cool too, I used to spend much time on it in the official servers when it came out, but nowadays there are only private servers because it closed due to the small amount of players :/

The coolest thing in RFO is that every 6 hours, there are Race Wars!
Imagine a Race vs. Race vs. Race with hundred of players on the same huge battlefield :D

Ragnarok Online is cool too btw, but nowadays, it is nearly impossible to find a good private server.. Now it cost like 9.99€ a month to play.. :/

I've tried a lot of mmo's on private servers and trials. I also been playing Everquest 2 for a while on official servers. And all I can say is that I've never seen any less nerdy and grind addictive mmo than WoW. It's easy to understand its game aspects and mechanics, simply by reading on some theorycrafts about your character like once after each global update. Everything else is comming from your own experience and time you playing. Best gameplay i've seen so far apart with best economy. Best raid encounters. Best visual style.

So i only can suggest you to take another look on WoW and make a right decision. If your are going for Lineage 2 / EQ2 / Aion or any other "korean" game, prepare your self to endless grind, farm and nerdrages ;]

Runes of Magic , I think its the best free MMO out there. Its kind a WoW in free version.. Never played it and never will, dno..

But i play Ether Saga, very good free mmo with grapichs and epic story.

Nowadays I only play KZ, but I used to play a mmorpg called Ultima Online, don't know if you guys know. UO is for me and by many people the best game there was, I know people that have played UO for over 10 years, and they never got sick. It depends the server too. It's a shame that almost no one plays the game now =\
