But, this one has obvious answer...

the question isnt stupid. its not very obvious why fof has the record since hel has 01:59 ingame and fof 02:00

m0ver19/12/2009 18:40

But If you watch video than it is obvious that hel pushes stop timer later. I mean, it *is* obvious.

prof. chosen19/12/2009 20:39

not really since you cant cleary see if they both pressing start in the same frame

TlofT20/12/2009 00:16

yeah chosen especially with the falling sc, it would be hard to tell exactly

boom.dll20/12/2009 00:29

it is hard... but thats the main purpose of a battle movie... to show the run from the start till the finish (start being the only common thing in both demos....)
i`m pretty sure i didnt fuck up the start (i used in game sound aswell to try and sync them as much as possible...)... it wasnt my first battle movie you know...

3ss20/12/2009 00:40

i don't look at start button or finish button , just finish time , so this is a reason why i'm made this thread. :)

m0ver20/12/2009 12:11

Now that is really smart thing to do. What if I climb for five minutes and timer says 01:00, is that WR? Because you only look at finish time? Will you make thread then?

FFS can you at least consider that timer is...idk bugged?

TlofT20/12/2009 18:05

lol boom is battle movie nub!!!

btw do you do cosy records or just xj?

boom.dll20/12/2009 18:18

i do your face!

ask me on steam baby... not here :D

but the difference in this video isnt 5 minutes, its a few frames, so you cant call that thread senseless, admit it ffs

But you have to consider that he didn't read that information somewhere, he saw it in a battle movie. Which he linked in first post. Had it been otherwise I would say that his question is rational but when you look at his "argument"... he gives a link to video, battle movie to be precise, in which is clear that hel lost (in a few frames) and boom.dll wrote in comments:
"they are in sync...
thats what the point of a battle movie is....."

So, linking that video with that comment and bluntly asking "why wr belongs to FoF" is ... you be the judge.

If he hadn't linked that video and instead he linked to two separate videos of each other's run his question would be spot on.

[...]its a few frames[...]

And then you kinda read the comments on youtube in which is written
"Fact or Fiction's xtremeblock is 0200 @ 120.9761 sec
heL^_x's xtremeblock is 0159 @ 121.1514 sec"
and thus his question really becomes senseless.

I am kinda disappointed to see that everyone is so...incapable of searching or reading, that is why I said that there should be FAQ. These kinds of questions are being repeatedly asked.

prof. chosen21/12/2009 09:27

what's your point? not everbody reads the youtube comments, and again, as i said, you cant really see the difference in this video, so his question is understandable for me.
