problems with g5
Hi Guys.
I just bought this new uber l33t hack mouse, G5! :D but i have some problems with it, when i move my mouse very fast i stucks in air .. Heard this mouse was good for bhop/lj/cj etc. but i cant even do bkz_goldbhop with it.. :s HELP!

Think the g5 laser is very sensetive to what surface you use. Mine is anyway, I use a 5L mousepad with it and it works fine.
Or just try to clean the laser part a little :P
I JUST USE PAPERS FOR PAD WITH MY G500:(

well, i saw 246 bhop handshow by shnz, and he also have the same mousepad as mine (SteelSeries Qck+ heavy) and i dont think it sucks on his computer :)

Turn down sens? DPI? Windows mouse speed?
if the mouse is skipping, you want higher sens, so you won't have to move so fast. update drivers/firmware, cause it shouldn't skip unless the sensor is dirty

turn off mouse aceleration
its ure hz, try put it to 500hz, cuz i have my g5 for 6-7months now (august 2009) and its perfect, no problems at all.
however, i have tested mymouse, it lags when i put 1sense and 400dpi and move the mouse at 110mph (meaning the fasting my arm can fly).
800dpi didnt lag for that, but it was really uber low sense which no one will ever use in cs; maybe like 5m(500cm)/360

The mouse have 500hz by default? Or?

Open cs, then open Task manager, select the process tab, find hl.exe, right click and set the priority level to low, a pop-up will appear, select yes, then close task manager and play cs :P, that worked fine for me

its already 500 hz vonch :(
aah this happened to me i think,
i started pc and g5 was doing jerky movements and lagging,
so i took the usb out, turned off pc, cleaned the wire port and re-put it in
now it works fine, ty it :)

You should set Steam.exe to low and hl.exe to above-normal. That makes you have always 100/99.9 fps somehow. Works great for me ;]

and put ure hl.exe running on cpu 0/1 affinity

DeathAdder, MX518 ,X7 are Optical mouses => best
G5 , Copperhead , G500 or shit are laser mouses => lags+shit

Yh i agree.The best mouse pad is table.
cpl mousefix,mouse aceleration off and noforce commands...np with my g5
