[SURF] Stereo Surfing
Hi again guys ! I've finally finished my first surf movie and i gotta say you , thats the most enjoyable projects i've ever had.
The movie is about two great surfers : Maxter and k3nta. They are doing some really cool stuff.
I tryed to make a fun movie , which wont get boring during these 10 minutes - i hope i managed to do that.

EDIT: great stuff there guys! Good edit clean etc. The music is really cool. Tricks, well you know i knew many of them but still teh pwn. Fav maxter's part is the skate trick x) and k3nta's part the disposable bw. the best in disposable fosho.

23/03/2010 23:56i loved maxter's part , from k3nta i expected more pwn but still sick bw's just kinda lame copy of pOni's egypt ... edit were kinda random , but original and songs werent my taste so 4/5 overally but 5/5 for max!
The movie is absolutely amazing and great in all aspects you can think of. Personally I am not a surfer at all, but I've tried it a couple of times (with rather bad success) and I've seen a bunch of surf movies and I can say that this movie really surpasses anything I've seen before; edit-wise and trickwise.
The edit was simply gorgeous, and those stickfigure-characters in some parts really gave it a funny detailed touch. I don't know anything about editing so I wont really give any constructive criticism on that, but even if I could I'm sure I wouldn't find anything to reproach of.
The music choice was great, smooth surfing requires some smooth and serene music. It was a perfect choice, and personally I just love downtempo/triphop and hearing those tracks after a long time (last heard these familiar tracks around 6-7 years ago) was just great. Ninjatunes for the win!
I can't really say anything about the tricks since I'm a complete rookie in surfing, haven't even tried most (if any) of the maps before... I kind of liked MaxteR's tricks a bit more, maybe its just his way of moving - can't rate the level of difficulty but I could tell that they were all pretty god damn sick tricks.
Damn Tawnie/tOni rating it 9/10... Its worth 11/10!
I recommend you downloading it even if you aren't a surfer and also don't forget to subscribe to level2 in YouTube.
24/03/2010 01:12hm watched it once, and probably will watch once day again. That means it was a least a bit interesting even for the eyes which have zero knowledge about surfing :)
hmm, tbh, them stick figures didn't really have much of an effect on the audience (imo), the editing kinda let me down, the music was original (which was good u chose original music :) ) (still think its a good movie)
some parts of editing were hm, distracting (just a few), i think campaths while people were 'getting' into the trick, which made ure eyes dunno got a bit stressed: example: 01:47. but this was rarely done so gj that overall movie was smooth & clean :)
also at exactly 02:25, "down" one, didn't make sense at that part :S,
but the other previous ones, i think u were trying to teach surf, which was quite kewl :D
However :p, the atmosphere went well with ure colours, smooth style, and sorta glowy/dreamy white -thing effect (like 8ball1 in btm2 style colours) the theme was nice.
but i g2 say though, movie overall was nice & enjoyable for me, gj level2, max & kent
i kinda agree with lo0k's comment about maxter and kent.
some of maxter's trix i didn't really understand/understand the 'essence' at first like that swift trick :S
that dispo trick was quite a hard trick

Surfing was great for me (i'm newbie surf), edit is awesome, no worst and not-important colours!
It was interesting to look all 10 minutes of the movie (usually it's too long time, but not here)

i felt like watching one of 8ball1's epic movies. sort of the same edit style, not too many effects, desaturated colors, original edit and really chilled songs. and thats great! i know you didn't want it to be like that, but for me... it just felt like that, and that my friend is not a bad thing!

after your cs edit + this surf edit, i kinda think your one of the best editors out there. seeing that you can make the most of every demo you receive.
regarding the tricks... well i suck at surf, therefor i can't comment them, but maxter's trick @ 1:20 was freaking epic :D it looked awesome awesome awesome!
great job guys! thumbs up from me and a 9.2/10 for the movie :P (i can't give it a 10 because as i said... it reminds me of 8ball1's style of edit :P )

well i can just tell everyone in this forum WATCH THIS MOVIE.
it's one of the best cs surfmovies out there - trickwise
recently, to make a good surfmovie, you need new and especially original tricks which mostly include mapbugs, boostabuse, much ledging ect.. dont get me wrong, i love this stuff and i'm glad the surfscene developed in a way many people try to head for this concept - but this movie has a different flair, which was great!
it is rly refreshing to see tricks with focus on the surfing itself, especially if you have 2 surfmasters like maxter and kenta doing the tricks.
overall i'd give a 9/10 to max and a 8/10 to kenta
the editing creates a fresh and fascinating vibe throughout the whole movie, personally i think it's my fav surf-editing so far. many cool "moments" that go so well with the music... many cool little scenes with stuff like the stickfigures that keep your attention.. the athmosphere brought by those tracks varies alot during the 10min but still it's a wonderful and consistent experience to watch it.
i think you edited the movie alot better than a kaffee would've done that :'D at least alot more original and interesting and that's what matters the most. fat

I enjoyed alot even w/o understanding a tricks. I never playing surf so i can't rate the difficulty of these movements.
But editing were more than cool, nothing to add.
