what is your strafing record?
well i wanted to know how many strafes you were able to do in a jump... i mean i know that it depends on the jumps but i just want to know how many you guys are able to do without missing or failing strafes which make you loose airspeed. I know that it depends on the jump but well... i did this lj at parkblock and did 22 short strafes... dont think i missed any though. how many can u do?
19/09/2006 00:04well, dunno, but I dont think that more strafes are better all the time. Some jumps, like the cbble longjumps (cg_cbblebhop) can be done with 5 strafes (the hard ones.... 194+) but can't be done with more strafes :D
Imo it's more important to get clear and bigger strafes then small and fast ones.

well before when i was onfire i used to do 4 small and fast strafes as kimo does... even in an ez jump, i always loved to dooo mannnny strafes =] but in the end i realized that big and large strafes are much easier to do and more efective in many cases =]

here are my results with fakers <3 analyse:
Prestrafe: 237 (275.02 units/s ground-speed, max is 276u/s according to faker, for instance T3d on 253 had like 273u/s,
InseN did 240 prestrafe but wasnt readable, maybe he could do it on own server)
244 with 2strafes
246 with 4strafes
250 with 6strafes
btw i dont do odd strafe numbers (they're gay and screw technique ^^jk)
if technique is perfect 250 should be np with 4-5 strafes (watch 250 fakers demo).. so when u do rather less strafes, the smaller is chance u screw up the whole jump, but u need nice length, fast and precise switch from A to D and mouse L to R (0.01-0.02 sek)
i would recomend for all beginners to start with only prestrafe LJ till 235 (273u/s groundspeed at jump off)
than try 2 strafes to get as much as u can, than +2 +2 ...and i see u in 255 movie with nice 8 strafes
btw if someone is interested, i will edit and add demos

mhh i think i did 251 with 2 circles but there could be 1 small strafe in beginning im not sure.
the most i did were 7, but useless strafes.
