I don't see why I would just stop gaming at some point. I play if I feel like it. I actually hope I won't lose interest in games, games are cool.

i quit when i was 16 ish cause i was too busy. when i was 19 i had free time and started again. agree with flibo, its about interest, not age.

knoxville03/06/2010 21:29

Well, when i hit 18 it almost dropped to zero but well my father also plays sometimes and he is 47y old ;)

RAJU03/06/2010 21:54

You can't simply stop, it's something that relax you ( if ur not some hardc0re gamer ofc ) When i'll stop using the pc or playing something etc ? When i'll be dead

aftermatch-_-03/06/2010 22:54

you stop doing something when you loose the interest in it. i havnt been jumping for like 7 months now, cuz my mouse wheel died, but im too lazy to fix it. I'd still play if i had a mouse tbh. My motivation for playing decreased alot cause of my personal life and interests, but still it aint completely dead and i would enjoy jumping again. Or playing some pc game that is ^_^

Hartelion03/06/2010 23:26

Maybe when I'll be 17 because at that time games won't be like this anymore.

wuuuh cant say that. listen im playing world of warcraft and 75% of the guild members are older than 30 years, are working and have wife ..

so that depends on my work, my money and place where i will live. maybe never ;p

I think I'll never stop completely, as far as I remember, I have always lived with Game stations (Nes, Atari...) and then later with a computer.

I'm going on my 21, I have less time to play, I have stopped kz long time ago, but I play some other games, especially on Wii/Dreamcast/N64/Xbox360.

Memories with friends, or simply memories from games, I consider video games as a small part of my life.

When you grow up and become more and more mature, you just define your priorities - that's why real question is: "How will I define my priorities later?"
Today it's about "girlfriend, university and part-time job" but in 10 years it'll be about "wife, career and children".

In the end I just hope I'll still have a bit of time to play, as long as I feel like it.

I'm 26 and I don't plan stopping anytime soon in any console or pc.
If you like it why stop?

Basically i agree with most of people here. I will stop if I lose motivation. I am on a slight pause right now because of lack of time and some personal interests (DJing, a girl, and some other things).

If you enjoy gaming and you've played games for years theres no real point in quitting playing all together. If i have to pick an age it would be 28-30 years (but wouldnt completely quit) might be married/have kids.

Grrr04/06/2010 09:56

the answer is simple - when u don't have time to play games

Gargoyle04/06/2010 12:11

When I lose my motivation, if I had to pick an age I'd say something like 45-> I can imagine myself playing good looking games with great storylines for sometime.

CS quitting is eminent, you can only endure so much of the community :P

NOEL04/06/2010 21:07

When I was younger, I was sure that I would stop the day that I turned 18. Now that date is only about a month away and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

In fact I'm waiting for a new game that takes CS' place, hell maybe even the wow gamers too. A huge game that everyone knows and have tried, like the CS of the present.

It's very hard to put a date on cause our time is so different from our parrents' for instance. I think many of us will still be playing video games when we're about 40.

You stop doing something when you realize that if you will keep doing this you wont improve yourself in any way.
