Anyone a fan of them? Perhaps even seen them all?
In case yes, which was is your favorite and what do you like most about them?

I probably sound like a like psycho, but I really enjoy watching them. I somehow think they are fascinating. Not really sure I know how to explain it.
Also, I enjoy the story in the movies, since I think they always suprise you.
Just bought the sixth movie and I am currently watching it.

Will tell what I thought afterwards.

remake15/06/2010 05:21

I've seen 1st, 2nd and 3rd movie. I don't recommend watching the 1st, it's boring as hell.

PepoMerca15/06/2010 05:27

i've seen them all, im a huge fan.

Punk^15/06/2010 05:58

Well, that's awesome Gamster, just finished watching the sixth. Not really worth it though.. deffo the worst movie yet. Which one is your favorite? Mine is the second :)
An alright remake. They didn't really catch your interest I suppose?

remake15/06/2010 06:22

2nd was my favourite too, because it had an interesting storyline.

I like them. Watched them all.
I watched the last ones with that bad filming in cinema quality and didn't think much of them really, didn't get all important points in the story and such.
I think the first one is the best really, the end blew my mind. Always fun to see all the different traps and shit.

Hahaha this is the best movie ever dude... Watched couple of times all of them, sixth one in cinema and now I can't wait to see 7-th in 3D.

Dragon15/06/2010 09:43

You don't have to be a psycho if you enjoy watching Saw.. I never watch horrors , but I've seen 1-5 with my girlfiend.. I don't know there's something that makes you want to know what will happen to those people :D Nevertheless, the quality was getting worse every next movie.. To me it seemed like "cooking out of water", or as if the creators were determined that this part is the last, and then they changed their mind..

nikitich moviemaker15/06/2010 09:46

seen 1,2 and 4 or 5 , dont remember exactly... sry, but for me its very stupid, very boring and really ''makes no sense'' movie =[

k a f f e e15/06/2010 10:28

uhm i've seen 1 2 3 and 4
1 was best & 4 was worst so i guess they kept that line (like for 90% of all other movies)

mYmqONE15/06/2010 11:22

seen them all and have to say the best was the first one, with 2 and 3 being pretty good. after that it seemed like i am watching some cheap B horror movie.

Gargoyle15/06/2010 14:16

Agree with mYmqONE, first was the best, easilly, second and third were kinda good, rest of them I was only watching them for the new traps, that's about it.

They should've just do the one. Saw is like the equivalent of Matrix trilogy (except the genre). First one is the only worth watching.

ndR moviemaker Tournament #215/06/2010 15:12(edited 15/06/2010 15:21)

These movies aren't really worth watching, I studied the 3 first ones (I guess you guys would love to study such things at school eh?) and the only thing I can say is that the actors are really bad, they're really bad filmed that's just horrible.

There's a simple test to realize how bad are these movies: Watch from the beginning to the middle, pause the video, do something else for 5min, come back and start the movie, it's just hilarious, you just can't get into the movie again.

Those movies are just surfing on the violence trend wave. Have you ever heard teenagers talking about Saw?
To sum up it's all like "I watched it, because of everyone watched it, and because I can proove I'm not scared" :)

If you're interested in (good) horror movies, you got Hostel, The Exorcist, The Ring (the japanese version is way better), The Grudge or Shining (this is not really an horror movie but it's quite stressful, Jack Nicholson is really scary and shows us uber acting talent).

But come one, 6 movies...
It looks like more a Surgery lesson in 6 parts, or "how to cut every member of a body".

That's correct.

mYmqONE15/06/2010 16:46

I have to say u fail ndr, mainly becuase if u start naming classic horror movies and the first that comes to your mind is hostel. srsly? hostel? most boring, pathetic 'horror' movie of all time. OF ALL TIME! oh and yeah some movies are meant to be watched in one piece, just have to live with that and if 5 mins. can distract u so much u cant follow the rest of the movie u shouldnt watch movies at all...

kafds15/06/2010 16:47

I don't feel like I have anything to add here since ndR put it all up together in a such a great way - I agree in everything he said, and I've seen the movies you recommended and I can say they were great!

I would also recommend Riki-Oh: The Story Of Ricky. It is a story of a person called Ricky (Riki-Oh) who goes to a prison (quite a weird prison, you'll find out if you watch it) and tries to settle all the things happening inside the prison. The movie is extremely absurd and contains "extreme violence". Movie produced in Japan, 1991.

Here is a (bad quality) stream with English dubs. I recommend you watch the original un-dubbed movie with subtitles as the voice actors are almost as good as the violence in this movie.

Punk^15/06/2010 17:35

First off I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoy watching these movies. Second, I kinda have to agree with you guys aswell, the quality of the films have definitely faded through the movies. Hoping the 7th can make up for it, and give us some nice twists.

The Shining is one of the best horror movies/thrillers of all times, without a doubt. Also the Excorsist is a great movie. I've only seen the american version of The Ring, but perhaps I should get my hands on the japanese version then. And finally, The Grudge and Hostel aren't really for me. They're kinda boring I think. (The Grudge especially is, if you've seen scary movie 4)

You're definitely right there. Making 6 parts (7 this Octobober) is really a sell-out. The traps and stuff just makes it interesting for me.

And I'll take a look at that movie when I have time kafds. Just read about it on imbd, and it sounds kinda interesting.
