gaming keyboard = more strafes?
29/07/2010 23:33Hello, i wonder if having a gaming keyboard lets you make more strafes easily? I can do max 7 strafes with my current keyboard when jumping Forwards and 8-9 max sideways. And with my friends keyboard i've made 11 strafes max, and that was an old old keyboard and mine is maybe 2-3 years old
Dude, there's really no difference, maybe it's easier to do more strafes on low buttons, like laptop or smthn, but i don't think it really matters.
if you feel more comfortable you will most likely do more strafes

Id say its not worth paying alot of money for a expensive gaming keyboard since it doesnt do much difference. Rather buy mouse, pad and glides for it beacause thats whats mather the most in lj IMO. Im using microsoft standard keyboard, always have always will. And honestly bro you dont need to do more then 8 strafes in a longjump.
I am on a laptop and I use a laptop keyboard. It's awesome for me atleast,can do 8 synced strafes at lj and 9-10 on cj. But seriously,7 is fine enough. From your threads I can tell you wanna push your lj by buying expensive gaming hardware,but trust me - you don't need that stuff to get good.

hardly ;P just needed better gear. I dont think im gonna get a new keyboard, i have to hope that the keyboard i get with the PC im gonna buy is good :)

it's all about comfort. more comfort = more strafes you will probably do.
30/07/2010 14:50Being comfortable doesn't make a difference. It all goes down to how fast you can tap your fingers.
Even if you will be able to do more strafes it probably won't give you better distances since not always more strafes is the thing to do. New keyboard might do some good for you but it won't bring you skill because skill is in your fingers.
Yeah, the keyboard dosen't do any difference at all. (Or maybe it does like a 0,00001% difference, which is nothing). As some said, go for a proper gaming mouse and pad, which really makes a difference for all games, but especially for kreedz since you depend a lot on mouse movements, compared to shooters.

can tap pretty fast but not with this keyboard :S dont know why
keep training and you will, usually you can tap faster then you think, its syncing with the mouse that makes it hard. Look at your keyboard when you try to make the most strafes, and count how many A+D your possible to do before you land.
i use a keyboard for $10 and it owns :D
same here, i put my money on pad and mouse
