Longjumps with only prestrafe
With the longjumps stats amxxplugin posted on the forums I tested to jump a straightjump while running against a wall to get a prestrafe of 276+ and then just jump straight with no strafes and I got the result of 232.xx units. So I don't think you can jump 240~ units with prestrafe only.

The plugin may show a faulty result though. (Could be checked with fpsDeath maybe?)

15/11/2006 11:19I've done 238 pre only (100% no airstrafes and stuff) with - my lousy prestrafe - so it is possible fo sure :)

InseN's demo was on a dedicated server so nobody can really tell (for stuff like that we really need fps death) if the jumper have pressed the 2nd Strafe key at the very end or not ^^
(It happens unconsciously sometimes)

I did at least 235 with my nubsorz only holding w prestrafe a long time ago. I'm trying to do it again with 236 on demo but I'm too lazy.

Some week ago I tried to make 235 and made it after a few tries.. after that I went directly onto 240 since 235 wasn't really that hard ;D But couldn't make 240
I just made a 230 ; maybe i will improve later but right now im too lazy :E
is this only pre ????

when only prestrafe then airspeed can be bigger than prestrafespeed?
you do one airstrafe automatic when you do prestrafe only. otherwise you would have to release all keys after you jumped.

you do one airstrafe automatic when you do prestrafe only. otherwise you would have to release all keys after you jumped.
that's the way i did 237 once and 236 more times.
simply do the prestrafe (in that way you said me on server :D ) that i will jump off straightforward.
so i don't have to press a key after jump (only the duck key at end)
when you prestrafe that way that you have change direction in air (with 1 strafe) it is for me an airstrafe :)

ur 240 @ 3 strafes, all other jumps 2 strafes. :/
so if his topspeed is bigger than prestrafe speed, that means that he did some sort of strafe to increase speed, right?
