Raptor, with the help of Numb, a talented AMXX programmer, has truely created 99% perfect 1.6 movement for KZmod. The only real difference in the feeling of the game according to some very talented CS players is that, although our airacceleration is set just like CS1.6, it is slightly more powerful which affects strafing and stand-up bhop jumps. At the same time all the testers find this actually good.

We now have speed-up and dynamic slowdown just like 1.6, Bhopping matches perfectly, Stand-up bhopping, DoubleDucks, Countjumps, Duck-Countjumps, Groundstrafing, Highjumps, and yes, EDGEFRICTION too!

What do you think about it, will you give KZMod a try or even switch to it?

NPLAY03/03/2011 08:27

very cool, but I will continue playing the traditional way!

FLP03/03/2011 08:44

nothing can't replace 1.6...

I am sorry to say that I will play it the "traditional" way, but hey, 1 try won't hurt.

P.S Congratulations guys for the really hard work. I am not a coder or something but I am sure that it's not easy. :)

As I said in faker's thread, we will finally have somewhere to go if they decide to "terminate" 1.6, but leave CS:S alone.

Hi Guys!

It's never about "replacing". It's about giving a better looking atmosphere with the same movement but a lot more to do. There are advantages to play both games. There are a ton of things KZmod has that cs1.6 will never have and they are very fun indeed. This is meant to provide an alternative place to go for WR's and have fun.

Now that it's the same finally, switching back and forth is not going to ruin your skill in either game. That's the beauty of this advancement we finally achieved :)

I am also honestly not about people switching and never playing CS again........you should play and find enjoyment in both games. The Idea of "switching and never going back" is sort of ridiculous :D

Think of KZmod as a HUGE expansion pack for CS :)

According to testers even our Tag Arena is said to completely blow away HNS in the fun department due to all the special pickups and wall jumping etc. It's fast gameplay!

Hope to see many of you at least giving it a try this time.

If you don't have a Source engine game, All you REALLY need is HL2DM which is 5 bucks.
Peace!

Do i have chance to run it in non-steam CS:S ?

Punk^06/03/2011 23:35

Just purchase the real game.. non-steam talk should not take place here.

Cypek08/03/2011 19:02

its a shame that kzmod is still using the old bugged non updated source engine 2006.

because its unplayable for some users with windows 7. its crashes during the startup loading and even from valve there wont be any updates to prevent those crashes. there are tons of the same threads on the steamforums.

But its nice for kzmod and hope it will get the popularity which its deservs. Because they does deserv it of dedication and hard work for such an hobby!
