Do you watch the ROTWs?

So yeah, do you watch them? Since they got a little boring to me(not saying that they are boring for you) and I thought that if the majority does not watch them, what's the point of doing them?

Nothing offensive to both jumpers and movie-makers. :)

It's just something I thought cause I saw some guys discussing it.

yes, i watch them even tho ive seen the demo of it..

however, i enjoy the demos more than the movies tbh, i loved this polish guy, 2jz or something. he did a great job making run movies of most of the demos without any edit at all, kept all huds etc..

id rather see rotws like that than "uber edited" =p

Used to watch them in the beginning, now i dont watch them.

Primary cause of them being the shortage of time on my current routine; Secondary cause being (i have tried to explain below):

- dont wanna sound rude, but except a few presentations (to examplify u up these were really good presentations: recent kelta 4towers, novice's adventure2, samny's deserted, novice's facility, chrizzo's utopia, shnz's cargo, Chasquido's cliffez, heLx's kt_aztecclimb, zhady's cellblock, Chasquido's tropicisland, koukouz's cellblock, kayne's nolve, KeltA's megabhop (sorry if i missed some) (they had some unique points in them some music/some edit/clean/easy viewability/map choice - all we are aiming is public enjoyability factor, everything else takes a back seat).
Other than those above, most of the sporadic throwups till now were pretty mediocre material to even "showcase on the front prestigious page of xtreme-jumps.eu" (i know it sounds harsh, but am sorry, its true). Consider koukouz's run on xtremeblock- what an amazing run! - totally spoiled by the moviemaker (remember the black border? yeah right!) I dont even know why in the first case it was accepted by the admin panel (Well anyway its a closed book now, but yeah, whatever)

These days (consider this in "this" change pretty recent, i know/have seen all the stuff, thats why i am putting up this big shit in a forum); i only watch some xcptnl dems/vids and let go off the rest, but thats my problem, i am just being honest to myself.

The aesthetic point of an rotw is not to throw up 1zillion uber powerup'd mainstream edit stuff, no! or to create a surreal atmosphere that doesnt even exist.
Please show up as its in the demo (no hyperedited stuff/ no useless cams/simple layout, even a hud does no trouble in case of rotw, ppl shud get the feel of the demo with a suitable music, cause, thats how it cuts the deal.

- dont find anything attractive in the newspost description, for the last 5 months the description went on saying like : "transformed by xxx into visual art, based solely on his filmmaking imagination.".
i seriously think it takes hardly takes one guy with decent level of vocabulary skills about 5/6 mins to put up even a noob technical description with preferential systematic stress on the hardcore mm'ing aspects in a simple hundred words too; it feels great if it has a constructive viewpoint, nothing takes stuff anywhere with stereotypical patchups.

Other than that, it's all fine :)
I just got tired of all the ppl of not able to judge things, and putting up 1 simple word "gj". Either contribute something useful, or just become a spectator and stay away. :/

(Please note, that i love you all and appreciate your hard work, u r the guys that takes a community forward, but you gotta take some constructive negative criticisms too, hence these words, i am not the average tom-dick-harry who puts up one gj for every damn thing that come up the newspost or the forum.
My aim is not to throw up meaningless derogatory frames, my endeavor all the time is solely aimed at nullifying the pitfalls and adjusting the public entertainment factor as well as not to compromise on the general standard of this community, that can just be done by amending some of the formats.)

music is almost always bad/overused/unoriginal. + i hate any kind of edits but i still watch a lot of them because i'm curious.

I would watch them all if they were made by akkord :D
