If you look on the other videos of the guy who posted the HL1 speedrun you can see a Ocarina of time segmented speedrun with a time of 2:33:12.

its enough to download the HL2 speedrun in high quality.
I couldn't download the insane version fast enough and took the high quality version and thats definitely good enough for all of those who expect a good quality :P

In my opinion stuff like that ruins the game... kinda uberlame to train that with scripts and whatever he has used... and goddamnit if he really needed ages for that it is even more stupid...sounds like he lives on an abandoned island where he has nothin else to do. If he wanted to impress me, he should do it without any script, fight against his enemies and not only fly by them like plan. Just my opinion though...
It's about completing the game in the fastest way possible using cool shortcuts and stuff....

I fully agree with you.
I mean the time is very important for jumping, thats why the maps are build this way. Maybe it is cool to see some other games which are beaten very fast, but it is to stay real... He flys through the map, over his enemies without looking on them. That is definitively not the way the map is supposed to be beaten. Even if he wants to do a "speedrun", why the hell is he cheating, I mean cheating like hell. In my view this is not real skill...

I have downloaded that one for some time ago as well. It also very fast but if you would have read the authors comment about his speedrun, you would know that he used a bunnyhop-script, too, but its of course more realistic than the other speed run
fly on wood or whatever he does with teh mwheel :D dunno maybe script but i can do it with mwheel :x
yes he uses a bhopsccript in hl2 although its pretty easy to fly if you just bind mwheelup AND mwheeldown to +jump.

It is like a bunnyhop plugin in 1.6 which disables stopdown while bhoping.
