A technique problem

I've got one question to ask you.
Long long ago,a Chinese jumper named wj917,posted his "nuke jump" guide here,and a lot of people said he was a cheater.
I don't understand why you said that.

with public fps death it looks normal, nothing is changed, but its cind of unreal. hmm Im gona try now it with no strafes Oo
I used this technique almost every map.
And sometime,it's easier than strafes.
Where do u se technique? Its just jumping w/o strafes, I tried nuke jump with no strafes and I couldnt do it.
And how no strafes can be better then strafes?
You didn't see the video, did you?
You had to flattened yourself against the wall.
1st------W(run)
2nd------Space(jump)+release w+press a(if the wall on your left side)
Remember the 2nd,do it at the same time.
It makes you jump further than normal jump.
It is not cheat at all! If you run like that near a wall you get extra speed. Thats why you need no strafes to jump those jumps.

i jump that too , not very hard but its more probably to make the jump with strafe (99/100) u sure do it.
i dont understand the technique :S
Do you really run faster when you run next to the wall if you only press W?
I thought you had to press A+W or D+W and have your vision fixed at like 11.00 or 01.00 o'clock.
Im not by my comp atm so i cant test the speeds.
Btw, even though ive maybe done that jump 1000 times or more i have never tried that technique. It seems a bit slow and inaccurate compared to a regular lj, but its a nice complement.

this is silly really, i tried it came close but neva got it, its not easier for me either coz i always run toawards the spot he is in and prestrafe the jump b4 i get there, but still pretty weird jump
the weird thing is since wen can u jump a highjump as u can see on the demo he/she jump s from the very edge so how can u just jump forwards :S dnt get it

Yes thopa,i only press w before i jump.
yeh weird my freind just got it too he explained to me u have to let go of w and press a at exactly the same time and it gives u abit of a boost, weird, still tho id rather do it the normal way more chance of getting it first try :)
ive got it its just unless u practice it like mad ur not gonna get it first try without luck :P

didnt watch the vid but when i just started and couldnt jump at all i still did the 240 in sandblock (the one after u fall down) with scout
i was sliding against the wall
u gotta press w then when ur about to jump press a and slide against the wall
in 1 of like 20-30 tries u should make it

U r wrong,my friend.I don't hold w in the air.just hold it on the roof.

i dindt saw the video bcz it was in a strange format.. i saw the demos.. that technique looks really nice maybe combining it with strafez would be an uber jump technique =/
yea I try something similar to that (with strafes added) in order to do one of the high jumps near the end of kz_tomb. I used to be able to do the jump every try, but now I suck at it.
