same thing as this standup bhop things.. jumpers are pwning lots of recs only cause they can bhop and that's the fastest way kk.. but it was much more excitng seeing really fast climbers like a0ke and some more.. who could do very good times without bhopping all the time. in my opinion kz is getting more and more ruined by new bugs... lucky shortcuts and permanently bhopping....
but it's ok :) ofc everyone can have his own opinion but i wanna see where kz is in mb 3 years? 1 guy having all the recs because he has an undetectable bhopscript and can do some bugs (like edgebug used to be) nobody knows?

I think that if the demos haven't got bhop it would be very monotonous cuz for example imagine rockblock without bhop... just illogic cuz there are some maps like this that aren't bhop maps but you have to bhop them and you need skills to do that.. go and try ezboulder without bhop makes nonsense at all to see a demo of ez jumps without bhop..

Imo a0ke's terablock demo is one of the most fun to watch, simply becasue it's nice to see someone getting very very fast to the top without bhops.
However, im not against bhops in any way, they just have become really boring to watch, i think it's more fun to see a map with one big hard shortcut that takes real skill to do.

Getting the fastest time > everything else

Imo its kinda sad to see whats the difference in demo record top5 list between 2-3 :>

a0ke? yes he doesnt bhop (only rarely) but how is it fun to just watch him jump and jump without bhops, nothing new... i already know what will happen next

his quickness is invisible in demos, take niconen or t3d or target for example, watch their demos then go see a0ke, there is no difference imo (when all of them are not bhopping) its just a0ke will get a better time afterall if none of them ever bhop, but you cant see it with your eye when you watch them jump.

stand up bhops? i think it takes alot of skill and practise to do them constantly. and imo its fun to watch ndrs demos or the kz_wsp_island climb demo and keep guessing whether the person will they make this next bhop or not

and a long or a hard set of standup bhops/bhops are beatiful and fun to watch aswell

again these are only the easy maps you can bhop alot on. the most fun demos to watch are sandblock and stuff anyway and see the persons strafe style/how many mistakes will he make.

and about the uber scs, it is like making 254 longjump, some ppl will never make it, others can in about 100 tries and so on

so theres got to be some skill involved in runs that have uber hard scs in them

the only thing you're right about is the edgebug runs, yes they are lame and mostly lucky

altough niconen is a 1337 jumper a0ke is 10 times faster than him, and i think he is faster than target and even t3d, but t3d always had the edge cuz of his uber strafes

I agree with murvelman, terablock is the best demo in the record list, not one mistake, not even a second wasted. It's just perfect.
And his speed is not "invisible in his demos" is so blatantly obvious that I can't believe u actually said that.Go watch some of jurpo's demos and tell me if his speed is invisible too...

gotta love all this lj geeks(and just take a look at the long jumps record list,most of them haven't proved anything in kz)

just waiting for micron or ted to do this in a demo :)
