One piece of advice. Try to make the tutorials as correctly as you can, for example using the null texture (always) and proper sizes for the brushes (no overlaping), but more importantly, speak to those who watch, about every move and click you make, for example even applying the textures. You seem to move too fast for a beginner (i'm thinking from my point of view, and if i were a noob and trying to learn). Even if you have shown how to do this thing or that thing in a previous tut, it wouln't hurt trying to speak about every move you make.

I will make a tutorial about bhop , but you can youtube other videos its explained alot of times i suppose =)

also about measuring its easy.
you see on the right there is Grid:
and you have 16/32/64 etc..
those are units
so make 3 Blocks in the same row
and the middle one should be lets say 240 units (240 grid)
you will need to scale and resize in hammer editor windows x/y/z every box = 1 unit if u zoom inside.
then remove the block u resized and there you go , you got
the 1st block and 3rd block which are the start and end destinations.
