PewDiePie - Let's play!

Hello kreedz players! I just had a conversation with SoUlFaThEr and we talked abit about the activity of KZMOD. Since KZMOD didn't really get all the attention that it should get, we though of a plan that might help raise the activity in the game by writing a PM to the famouse youtuber PewDiePie and ask him to try out KZMOD and help us get the game really running! I'm sure SoUlFaThEr and all the other in the KZMOD adminstration would be GLAD to have people showing their respect by helping out and trying to get this message to PewDiePie and hopefully get more people to try out the game!
For you who don't know who PewDiePie is, he's a Swedish gamer that actually earns money from making youtube videos and having people watch them. He plays ALOT of new games and unfamiliar ones, so It's a fairly big chanse that he might try out KZMOD if we gather up enough requests from us players!(for the record, he has the most subscribers on youtube and he always get's millions of views on his videos so this will SURELY make some difference.)

For you who decides to help out, huge respect to you guys and thank you for helping out!

Sure, well first of all i think that guy is aweful. That ofc is my opinion. He has a large fanbase yes, so has justin bieber btw, but does this guy ever make a serious video? I think that would backfire hardcore in him making fun of the game and showing glitches instead of gameplay...

The idea, to have a rather known youtuber, play us is nice in general. But please choose someone, that dosnt focus on stupidity to make his audience giggle. Im not very familiar in this genre, so i can not suggest anyone. Cheers to your initiative tho ;)

You guys might already noticed, but I want to point it out. There is one thing that I think you should consider is the video's progress while he is promoting KZMOD. He needs to have certain amount of skill in order to make smooth progress in the video. If he isn't managed to finish the map or gets stuck on one place for too long, people probably get bored and he might just skip that part or the map. Also, I think it is important to let him show people how to play the game correctly, so people know what does it look like when they play the game. So, the problem is how to make sure he is showing the fun and actual part of KZMOD(Maybe he should train a little bit before start recording or go play another mod?). I don't disagree with this idea. It is just something to concern about...

You should come in on the server with him SF and explain/advice different shit so he doesn't get lost and run out of interest immediately. Also, make sure you start your "kzmod run" with something soft and what anyone would be interested in.. some fun features, forget about original kz for the start. Show the paint tool first, then some cool looking map (maybe the football court), then raceway on kz_mix_journeys. Also, you should probably carry some good player with you to show some good runs, how the professional kzmod look like, when he gets bored.

I'm not a youtuber, can't advice anyone but the point is the game to be seen, as long as the video embraces vast public it's all good.

not gonna read the entire thread BUT i utteryly HATE pewdiepie and ALL his hard fanboys and girls and i would gladly skip having them in my presence

I had a similar idea a while back to generally make KZ more active by telling SeaNanners about this mod, and give XJ/KZ some more publicity and a wider audience since he has played and made a lot of videos of HL mods like The Hidden, Prop Hunt and he actually did a few deathrun videos, but not too many like the others. He generally plays a lot of Garry's Mod, so he might not be a total stranger with how the engine and physics work - although it's source and not half-life.

PewDiePie is way too immature, and the extra audience he has over SeaNanners is not, in my opinion, worth the risk. I imagine he would make a short video where he points out potential bugs, non-sense like how the graphics looks, why it's an ice pick as knife instead of a banana, etc.

Overall, SeaNanners would be the safer bet here. You could also try out some of the people he plays with like GassyMexican, GoldGloveTV, EatMyDiction, Hutch, etc. All of them have a fairly large fanbase.

First of all you forgot to mention that Pew plays mostly HORROR games, not "standart" games, Outlast was a truly success thanks to him, also Dark Souls and much more, thanks to him, those games were top1 of the year and bla bla bla, nevertheless, I disagree, a guy like him can't play such game, is like dressing a man with women clothes... It's stupid, funny, but stupid, I really like Pew, he makes the videos NOT boring and also pretty good to watch but styles are styles and I don't think he would do that much, search other good youtubers imo. The idea was ok if not pretty good.
