Just checked Sledge program, seems nice, made some rough shapes. The feature i like is that it can load all the wads you have in cstrike, which can be more than 3000-4000 textures, and it won't crack, unlike hammer, which has a lower limit.

Will check the rest when i can.

Jackhammer is just another hacked version of Hammer but look will wait for some newer versions with more features.
TrenchBroom looks promising since its just only 3d editing and this could be a big advantage for us. since we are working on a 3d dimension and dont need to plan and create it in 2d.

Jackhammer is not hacked vhe, its built from scratch even though it uses vhe layout.

Tried out sledge-editor and I dont really like it... for many obvious reasons...

TrenchBroom looks a bit limited or just too minimalistic prbably, but very promising non the less. Definitely going to try this one as well.

what i mean with hacked version is that they debugged the whole editor and adding their own stuff to it. If you look it over its still vhe. there is nothing new its just an enhanced version of vhe with sometimes crappy text size.

TrenchBroom is a just a real 3d editor and not a plain 2D editor like vhe. If you look over as a 2D editor yes it is limited. since its just a quake editor and not a goldsrc editor thats why i wrote in the other thread you need a detour.

But on the brightside of tb, it gives us a more realistic view in less worktime then vhe since we can already think on 3d and not first 3d then translate it over to 2d in the views of vhe.
