What happened?

You guys all praised this mod and now when devs are busy with something else you stopped playing it? they put so much work on it and you all appreciated their work but what happened? it seems like all of you really doesnt give a fuck :(

so really is it only worth playing when soulfather is on?
there was 2-4 guys who played it actively but ye most of you was on only when soulfather played :(

im surfer and valve maked surf unsmooth with 2013 update and im enjoying kzmod surf more now.. im still playing 1.6 aswell if you really wanted do hear that:DD

Hold on guys, the reason for the lack of activity isn't your fault, you were quite rightly expecting a large amount of news and developer activity as well as the beta and that didn't happen. I'll explain why:

I've been unwell for quite a while now (fortunately getting better) and I've been hit with a lot of coursework for university that is finishing very soon, and after that, the new new kzmod beta will be coming (I've decided after a lot of consultation and thought that using the 2013 engine would be best for everyone, the 2007 engine is too much of a hastle for mappers and I don't want the game being stuck on an outdated engine. There should still be no FPS problems since I intend to ensure the optimisation is of the highest quality. We will of course check for issues in the 2013 engine like possible surf issues before committing to it).

I didn't really tell anyone about this because the time recently has very much been about XJ getting some new wind breathed into it and I felt it would be best for you guys to get a chance to fully enjoy the improving situation without diverting some attention to kzmod, if I wasn't able at the time to offer regular information and updates. That said, I do still want to give you guys a great game and it'll still happen, just until I reach my 4 months of uninterrupted time to work on kzmod, you guys have the hard work of the management here and XJ's great new community additions to be excited about and completely focus on. I'll be happy to answer any questions anyone has, I don't blame anyone for not playing when the available game is 1.2 which has been out for a long time. The time recently has really been about XJ itself and the hard work and improvements by the staff might ultimately allow the community to be a bit more optimistic about kzmod together. Once I can deliver you a great game without interruption, I do want to keep you all up to date on what's going on and give you regular updates.

I'm really sorry for disappointing you guys, but it won't be in vain. KZMod isn't dead, just postponed for a little due to RL issues that are almost resolved.

tl;dr: Lack of activity not the player's fault (they wanted updates), been unwell for months, university coursework, almost complete, kzmod not dead, sorry for disappointing you, wanting you to enjoy XJ's management efforts, kzmod coming once the coursework is done this month.

wtf, psyxo wrote like 1 or 2 days ago that there soon will be a kzmod demo release so I recorded a demo and now It's not going to be accepted? ffs...
