in steam library make right click on kzmod and select properties/set launch options and type -console there.. and it should be under keyboard options advanced settings aswell.. atleast most source engine games have it there..

Wow, thank you for all the lovely comments! I definitely want to address everyone's issues (especially the advanced options dialog), currently my priority is getting the game playable and bugfree and ready for wider testing in the open beta. It really does make me feel good to know community members care though, so thank you again!
