Writing a feature about KZ, help needed.

Yeah it's definitely a great game. One of the best and all the different ways to play it, makes it such a genuinely challenging game. We were thinking about maybe trying one of the newer versions, but looking at the fancy 3d graphics does nothing for us. I guess we're searching for the nostaligia. But I've been needing a little game to play, whenever looking at or drawing letters become too boring, and hey, kzmod doesn't require anything, where as 1.6 requires halflife/counterstrike, which costs money.

Maybe one day, I'll try to take back palmcliff, but honestly, it's gonna have to wait some years haha!

I don't dig these dota-ish graphics a lot too tbh. I got a chance to try homm5 out for a little bit (thanks to kkz :D) but it will simply always crash. The first glance didn't give me very positive experience tbh, though it was kind of short. I mean the map does look pretty OK to be fair but the way they built up the towns and how they had to complicate everything within it just kind of beats off the interest to play the game. Also, I somehow like appearences of the old charcters more, maybe it's the matter of accustomization I'm not sure, but this is how I feel about it.

I thought about trying homm4 one day, from the videos it doesn't seem to be a faraway to homm3. Hopefully my pc will be able to handle it, now that I cleaned all the rubish out of the box :)

Yeah that's also what I'm hearing all around, that Homm3 is the best, bar none, and I'm actually serious when I say that I'm so fond of the graphics in it, that I think it's perhaps one of the most beautiful and magical graphics I've seen. The landscape is such a charm, even though it's pixelated, it's very beautiful in my opinion. Games take forever, and after 7-8 hours on the same landscape there's still that "magical" feeling.

You guys heard that there's a fanversion of Homm3? Cant remember the name, Wake of the gods I think. I've not tried it, but since it's fanmade, it could be worth a shot.
