Problem with compiling a map
Hey dudes so i installed bc compiler with this tutorial: http://xtreme-jumps.eu/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?186401.post and when i load a .map file to compile it the cmd window closes after 1-2 sec without any logs or anything it's the first time im experiencing this problem i've always installed the program with this tutorial and so far i didn't have a problem and now i installed it again cuz i didn't have hammer for a while and im starting a new map and this happens. So any ideas ?
I had the same problem after I installed Windows 7.
I did it like this to fix this kind of error.

Put all mapfiles and rmffiles on the desktop and the wadfile in this x86-folder.
Dunno why this works, but it works. =)
hf
I don't have this kind of folder i only got program files
Problem is .net framework on your PC.. had this shit and maybe i sitll have it lol.
try to reinstall/install netframework all versions, and then all visual redistrutables 2005/2008/2010 and re-try.
if not then ill tell you other solution, the hlrad.exe/hlvis.exe etc ... use other compiling tools and it should work.
Please give me tips only if you're sure about it guys
What you talkin about D@NG3R, sure or not if you dont try our sugguestions then your thread isn't worthy of being here.
PS: some more sugguestion?
obvious one run the batch compiler in administrator mode.
2. brosw the folder where batch compiler is installed, and run the compile.bat file, assuming it will compile from the last settings of your batch compiler, then it might work directly from there.
also, try opening Batch Compiler with administrative rights (right click on it), and see if that fixes anything.
But first, are you sure you have the correct setup?
Admin doesn't work also
@Karli I don't want to start uninstalling stuff that im pretty sure have nothing to do with this issue that's what i meant
@Keo
like i said it's everything from the tutorial maybe there's something missing there but i doubt it ..

What the fuck? They don't know exactly what's the reason behind this so trying different tips might work, work on that shitty attitude first.
And as I remember the reason behind insta close of CMD window is bad configuration/and bad paths. So have fun with that.

That's what i said if they don't know the exact reason don't help me at all i don't know how you consider that a shitty attitude, but ok sorry if i hurt your feelings sunshine :*
There's no such thing as STRAIGHT FIX for what you're describing, and in case you didn't notice (ofc you didn't) all of replies belong to mappers who know some shit except your high arse.
So stop being an asshole and listen/try what they have said.
I did and still nothing
That problem that you discribed is the same that I had.
humhum
Other way, what for a kinf of operating system do you have installed?
win 7 32bit
It is the same OS that I am using at the moment.
And I had the same problem that you write down...
And you´re sure that do not have this folder [programs (x86)]?
I am wondering atm, really.
ye bro http://i.imgur.com/mBnog2C.png
So you tried other compilling tools by vluzacn for example?
PS: i didnt said to uninstall anything.. read what i said again, + describe ur problem better, we can't read ur mind man.
Well that's the problem.. i can't tell you much more because i don't have anything else to show you :D the cmd window just opens for 1-2 sec and closes no logs no nothing
i tried that too doesn't work either..
So 1, change service pack of your Windows (update) do full windows update, else.. install 64bit windows maybe.. easier for you no trouble and no wasting time?
No chance to change my windows just for the hammer. Ok w/e thanks for the help guys i appriciate it ill try to find a solution myself and i'll tell you if i fix it
