hm^ mapper VIP02/04/2015 10:39

ok,
Did you try an another compilingtool or only this one?

sn00p mapper02/04/2015 11:42(edited 02/04/2015 11:43)

Windows has close to nothing to do with this error, it's most likely bad paths. And doesn't really matter the location of files if it's configured right, lemme give you an example.

Batch Compiler was installed in C:/
.rmf in D:/Mapping/...
.map/.bsp were saved straight into D:/Steam/...

And worked flawless.

PsYxOpAt mapper02/04/2015 11:56

like sn00p said it should be bad paths. for example C:/Program Files instead of "C:/Program Files"

its so funny to read the whole thread and only sn00p and PsYxOpAt has the real solutions to it when the cmd prompt is closing instantly without any messages. (Commonly no logs are going to be created without self logging cmd)

- Map file wont be the problem otherwise a logfile would exist
- Compiling tools not the problem because of no logfiles and else they would give an error message dialog!
- Compiler frontend is not the problem
- Windows has nothing to do with it. Else an Error Dialog would open with a message
- .Net Framework is not the problem. Error Dialog would be there too with a message.
- Windows updates, wtf where are you guys getting your knowledge...
- program files(x86) - WTF guys get your fact straights, he uses 32bit there is no additional program files folder. 32: program files = program files(x86) 64: program files(x86) = program files on 32bit | And you get an additional 64bit program files folder.

------------------
Real solutions:
1. Check your hammer configurations (look that the pathing has no blank spaces in foldernames. CMD doesnt like blank spaces on bad frontend compiler)
2. Check your Compiler Frontend Tool path the path to your hlcsg.exe hlbsp.exe hlvs.exe hlrad.exe
3. Press the pause key button on your keyboard when the CMD prompt opens. (Pause key was pausing the process in DOS/CMD in the past) (This might help you to track the problem better)

If you missed PsYxOpAt you can contact me on steam too.

That's exactly what I meant by "if you can't help don't try" not giving some random sugestions

I will contact psyxo thanks guys :)

Psyxo fixed it all hail him

PsYxOpAt mapper02/04/2015 21:36

As usual, it was a shitty batch compiler installation. Problem solved.

Hi demolite!

KarLi mapper02/04/2015 22:23

@dEMolite relax demolite, ''And onyl sn00p and Psyxopat has the real solutions'' like we know exactly his issue lol.. when u say u run it and nothing happens, thats not an realiable explanation to help us out, so we all can do is guess, let me get in teamviewer next time and i would've been able to fix it also, and about windows yes sometimes it has to do, also net framework etc, dont play the smart guy, if i where to ask you a problem and tell you ''Hey! i run valve hammer editor and it closes'' wtf would u say?

Mehh, people don't even appreciate people's try's and efforts, thats how suddently everyone fights each other over here, stupidity over level.

peace..

KerLi seems to be jealous that someone else was able to help but not him :D

Sometimes its better to read silently instead of excusing the windows installation or windows updates.
