Hey guys, I just wanted to ask, do any of you have a problem when ur asleep and most of the days u wake up at the same time in the night? (04:30 am) And are there any solutions to my problem? Notice: When I wake up at 04:30~ I stay up for about 30 mins and get back to sleep. Is that a problem I should be worried about? Also I'd like to add that I'm going to sleep almost the same time as always, but my waking up times differ like 1-3 hours.

sometimes when im stressed about something i wake up exactly at 6;30 without the need of my alarm.. when this passes on i again wake up thanks to my alarm.

Ahhh I see, so the problem may be within stress.. hmm well that's odd nonetheless.

I have the same problem like p0ker. Nothing I have worried about atleast, dont really think it is a vital problem :)

I don't think it's a life question too, but the consistancy of it is what I don't like

Well, it happens to me when I have a bad routine.

E.g. when I was in vacation last month I used to wake up at 2pm play some games till 5pm, hit the gym till 8pm and go home and play till 5am and then sleep again and repeat all over again.

I didn't do anything special here but my brain was tired because of this ridiculous schedule and style of living... I now started working and I go to sleep at 12am or 1am and then I wake up at 8am and then I work and go to the gym, I play and I sleep very well. I think it depends a lot based on your life style :)

Plus, when I am stressed about something, grillfriend, mates, money, exams or smth I sleep very bad aswell.

My suggestion is do some stretching before go to bed, its very relaxing plus its great for ur muscles and back which can give you a good night of sleep.

The whole "concept" of sleep is too complicated to even try to discuss it. So, i'd share some of my experiences so far:

- 4 years ago I was very sick and I wasnt able to stay awake more than 4 hours. Tho, no matter how random my sleep routine was, 4:30-5:00AM was the interval i was always waking up. That got solved after 1 month tho aswell as my illness.
- if I know I have something very important to do yet I dont, everytime I go to sleep my brain starts remembering all the things I had/have to solve, therefor I dont quite rest and I wake up waaaay earlier than i should.
- sometimes I need to relax mentally (if I can put it like that), meaning that I stop every sound device around me and meditate...tho for a decent effect you need to know stuff. Try to think that you're free tomorrow and got nothing to worry about, everything's fine.
- last year I lived with 3 other guys in a 6m x 5m room and other 40people on my floor (4floors in total). Everybody maxed out the volume on trashy(manele) music, yelling etc....how did I sleep? Headphones (small ones), charge phone, plug headphones, open di.fm, switch to psybient channel, good night. Yes, f--k that! Did you get the idea? :) dont use headphones tho if you have speakers. Put something ambiental to meditate to, then let urself fall asleep. Download autoshutdown for PC and use it for it to shut down after few mins (tho again, dont overuse it since you need to know stuff about these)
- workout! Go to gym, play a sport, something... just relaxing the whole day wont make it any better
- do you smoke weed? If not, you should do it for a test 30mins before going to sleep. If you did hit that sh-t hard, you're gonna be trippin out, most likely fall asleep and wake up after 30mins-1h-2h (depends tho) like "wtf did I even sleep or whats going on?" ahaha... now seriously, try it before bed, thats always a solution for me. Even so, why wouldn't you smoke weed, hah? :)

Not very helpful, but I hope you got the idea. Hit me back when you figured it out :D sleep tight

Cobrex your idea about that weed smoking after bad is all explains how to fix it :) There your all answers it's easiest way might be, if you dont smoke then its not good for you. How much times i was getting high and going sleep.. And at next day you its hard to remember how you turned off that fast for me if i really can't go sleep or something is wrong in my mind when im trying to go sleep then its just easy to solve with some bit of weed not even need much for that :) gn #blazeitm4kind

lol, I was so close to buying melatonin from the pharmacy last night and now I see this thread. I literally had the package in my hand but didn't buy it (yet).

I've been dealing with all kind of sleeping problems the past 6 months. I'm pretty aware that I've produced them myself but it's been so long and it has become a hard thing to fix more permanently than for a week or so.

stress doesn't just cause insomnia, it makes me hate going to bed. even if I was tired physically, if I'm truly stressed out, I might stay awake all night and skip the following day completely or survive it with an hour or two of sleep in.

it hits hard on your quality of life and productivity.

damn jusuuh, you should try some sleeping therapy, from what i read on internet is pretty good.
For me sleeping is no problem, sleep from 8hrs to 12hrs (depending of my mood if i want to get up or stay a little longer).Sleep is really great, esp right before you fall asleep is so quiet and nice.Well hope I wont start having sleep problems like most of people have, sounds awful to not sleep how you want :(

M4kind04/03/2016 10:12(edited 04/03/2016 10:13)

Well I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one to have problems with sleeping.
Though this night I've slept quite okay, the thing is that I never fall asleep in more than 10 mins. Yesterday I got to sleep 2 hours later than other days, and I woke up 2 hrs later (instead of 04:30-05:00. I woke up at 7:00) after waking up I got to sleep again and woke up at 11:00. The weird thing is that when I wake up at night, I remember what I had dreamt. My dreams are kinda weird and are hardly even close to reality.
P.S. Thinking about the other day that I won't have to do anything helped me to sleep tighter.

Well m4kind I also got a similiar story to cobrex.

In 2nd february I failed my main exam and I had a recovery exam day 19th and I couldn't fail there for sure, since the day 2 to 18 I couldn't sleep till I felt confindent about myself, I always slept less than 5 hours because I was so obsessed with that exam I could barely sleep.

Don't close your eyes with strenght yet close them softly and think about relaxing things, a song you like a lot, a beautiful view, drive your mind there. That's what I do, I wouldnt recommend weed, nothing against stoners but come on... What if he needs to smoke everyday at night of his life till he is dead? If he is 20 years old and does to the 70 he needs to be smoking at least 18250 pipes in order to sleep.

Smoke weed.. sounds like a 12 years old mindset. When u are stressed, depressed, u have some problem, u fall inlove, u r excited about something its normal to be like this. You can take some pills from the pharmacy, they are not dangerous u will just chill and fall asleeep, there is no addiction to them.I always cant sleep when there is something that bothers me and im overthinking.Everyone have these periods in their life.Sure its strange and annoyng but there is no other way, in fact we are humans, we have feelings that control our mind.

Dude you sounded so hypocrit right there, seriously what the fuck.

I don't smoke either cigars or weed but I would rather smoke some pipes before bed than taking pills from the pharmacy!
The best thing you can do is meditation, stretching or even workout a bit and lay down in bed and close ur eyes softly.

In the end, weed is way more natural than pills, so cut the crap bro.

Definitely all the proper sleeping drugs are very bad esp. in the long run, but melatonin is an exception. It's naturally produced by your body and you can 100% safely take a little addon from a pill. I didn't buy it tho because I want to fix my sleeping pattern all by myself and make it so, that my body is truly tired from day's activities and is ready to sleep around 22-01. At the moment I might fall asleep 3-6am but not even feel too tired then.

I just should get a grip of myself. The funny part is, that I have all the ingredients in my life to work hard during the day but I still manage to stay awake too long and avoid sleeping when I need it. I eat healthy and get solid 2 hours of daily exercise in, but I think I try to max out the 24hours too hard. If I was more productive and worked harder, I could do the needed things with less time and could sleep more.

Inspired by this thread, I will definitely try to get rid off the things that currently cause me stress during the weekend. Also, it's a holiday week ahead and I'm going to try my best to reset my sleeping pattern.
