The Complete setup for going pro?
I'm new here in kz but I want to share my thoughts anyway.
unlike the "real" cs game which you play against other players where flashes and smokes are thrown and there is much more activity in kz you wont benefit from elite gear
just a decent mouse and a mousepad ( for smoothness ) with do.
The setup will not make u pro. It takes a lots of time, dont expect to be doing some good times soon...just practice a lot.
Anyways...about the setup, most important things is the mouse, obviously, i think Logitech G402 is one of the best options for kreedz these days.

Actually after spending quite a lot of time playing this lovely game, I notice'd there is a big factor that affect the good player from the best, which is 'input-lag' or the responsiveness of the monitor.
from my experience and I would imagine most of the good kz players who spent more than 2-3k+ hours on the game can relate to this, I used to play better and get consistent timing of any type of jump when I play on with low input-lag. I used to be able to do proper 'After-countjumps' in most of my runs. I hope there is something that solves this mystery...
Right now I feel like there is some kind of a slight-delay on my PC, that fucks-up basically everything... :[
Like most of the comments said, the things that really matter are good monitor and good fps that your PC can handle it comfortably.
when i was at my best i have used mouse for $5, i have just played too much and got used to it, its all about practice and you will be decent at the game, ofc later as most of the players i bought a good mouse too, but there was not much difference, its better to have full fps all the time without any ups and downs, just a smooth game, that decides a lot of the fails.My pc was bad and i rarely had 99.9 fps, most of the time it was like 99>70>85>80 and this just prevent you to do correct bhops or crouching and so on which slows you, the reaction of the game is also slower with lower fps, so u cant show ur best performance.Logitech g5 was the best mouse for jumping in my opinion.
decent mouse is fucking useful, ive been using g400 and my bhop increased drastically, mech keyboard makes it even better. TRUE, i used to play lj alot back in 2011-12 and all i had is a random a4tech mouse and eveneworse keyboard and i still did big things tho
#1 is to get a good monitor. 120-144hz. All this because you can see and feel your movement with higher precision. You can become a pro with 60-75hz screens for sure but good monitor is one key mastering your movement. Specific settings such as resolution/sensitivity/m_filter you have to find the fitting for yourself.
#2 A solid computer that runs most of the 1.6 Maps at 99.5fps. AMD 290x as GPU /AMD 8-core 8350 OR i5-2660K as CPU Will definetily do that for you, might not Be sold in big tech stores but acquirable on internet. As they already are old components but still good enough to run 1.6.
#3 Mechanical keyboard is a must from what I have experienced. Their responsiveness is on a different level compared to basic keyboards. Which I think it is an advantage in today-KZ. Heaps of cheap ones out there like the one I am using MK-70 by QPAD.
#4 would be lots of practice with patience. Try to find hints from experienced players about strafes, bhop timing, technical side of different jumpstyles. Lots of information out here in XJ too. Only thing I would advise you to do is - start by mastering 1-4 strafes before you start spamming 6-12 strafes like a asylum patient without meds. And always try to "feel" and be aware of each strafe.
Take your time practicing different jumping techniques. Don't rush and get fed up with it too quickly.

PS. 7700hours on 1.6 with 95% of jumping.

oh i also have a microsoft intellimouse 3.0 that i used for a short period too, cos i went through at least 3 of these mices before i got decent at kz, so i can sell you that too for the right price

I have never tried playing on >60Hz, so I guess its just a luxury you don't really need.
It is not important what you have, but what you can do with that.
19/12/2017 15:36I know everyone could recommend their own gear but ai recently purchased Razer Deathadder Elite and though I don’t jump very often, when I do it feels great in my hand. I mean... there are other things too which feel good in my hands, not just the mice...
