Toff, I think everyone is sick of seeing you everywhere lately .. you proved yourself already, its just that people wanna see something different from time to time.
Shooting-star, how is your first sentence a valid statement? Since when do top5 jumpers know anything about movies? Guess thats the reason why rotws have been shit lately, 'cuz non-moviemakers chose them. Here, is this statement good enough? No? Yours isnt even close! If you ever thought "Runoftheweek" actually means "thebestwr", then you must be new here. Most editions were 'promoting' maps that were improved in an interesting way (new skips etc); new players that got to the top in a short amount of time; old maps that weren't improved in 2-3 years .. do you really want XJ to be filled with "LEWLY" posts again? Let the editions be diverse, even if there are new unknown maps, players, whatever.
I don't always watch rotws as they're mostly booring, but this one actually made me wonder how a new player like patchouli can improve such a legendary map .. but I guess you wanna see goldbhop every ROTW (if improved every week) just bcuz the demos are clearly better than 90%

I'm saying it from my past experience, there used to be an admin insider thread for rotw voting, where all admins vote, and no doubt it was the best way of doing it.
I don't know how the system is run now, if a single person decides all that or whatever.

I always thought that the function of ROTW is to promote lesser known players/maps/new skips etc, basically something that hasn't been seen or isn't very popular yet. For those insanely skilled runs on maps like cellblock/goldbhop, I like seeing battle movies rather than ROTW because realistically those maps aren't showing anything new, the improvements are minor and it's way easier to spot them in a battle movie rather than the ROTW.

No matter how much we try, people just don't give a shit about 1.6 anymore. + when lewly was wasting his life recording wrs left and right, there were +10 other constant recorders, so shit wasn't felt so one-sided as now. Since 2016, all we see is "toffifee" and "shooting-star", with few unknown newer guys beating 2-3 records .. are you so blind that you can't see the difference between then and now? I personally don't even know why XJ (admins) need to listen to shittalk from nobodies like you, guys that wasted a huge part of their life recording +80 WRs and did not contribute to the evolution of this community or the game itself. Instead of talking shit about every decision here, you'd better help with ATLEAST a constructive oppinion since that's the limit of your existence here. You don't like that ROTWs ain't starring you? Be more important and make a change then! ... I won't stop being a wise guy when failures like you only complain but don't even know whats going on behind the scenes in order to provide you content and a "survivable" community. Without them there would be no us. Not really sure why everyone thinks he wants the ROTW to be him because I haven't seen him say it should be one of his runs that was selected. I'm sure somewhere deep inside of himself he would like that but at the end of the day I don't really think he gives a shit.
I do happen to agree with what he said about the ROTWs being the same maps over and over. I've seen the same run on the same maps several times with a -0.25 second faster time. Whoopdiefreakingdoo! The redundancy gets old.
Patchouli, this isn't a rant against you or what you accomplished. It was a great run. Some people are just sick of seeing that map being featured in the ROTW once the record gets broken.
Cobrex, I'm not sure why you seem to have this God complex where you seem to think you're above him or anyone else here stating their opinions and displeasure with the map/run selected for the ROTW. You're just coming off like a pompous ass about it all, like your opinion is above theirs.

How are you valid in that point? If everything around at XJ was not built for the sake of thrill of game then I don't know what. Plus toff is no doubt a successful gaming figure, he does wrs with ease and succeeded in other games as well, it's a big difference whether your steam hours do the thing or not. And isn't it for the guys who press start and stop you're producing your maps and movies? If that is how you treat a basic player why even bother? i don't know what's more annoying, that guy complaining about not beeing featured in some run clips or that other guy thinking he played an essential role in this community when most people just know him for cheating on cosy.

Not only toff makes beast runs on any kind of maps but he also makes it in such a beautiful way that when you watch him play you start wanting to play too. It is a common thing that pretty much every player has ever had at some point someone to look up too, just like I've seen so many people started kz being inspired by FoF, koukouz or whoever else. And you're presenting it as if the number of players that has every reached 100+ wrs at one point is the whole town whereas it's maximum 5-6 guys which is obviously not that a lot. But yeah he wants some attention he deserves but not only him deserves it so it's kind of controversially.
I think it's absolutely natural, that Toff wants rotw. Because the whole thing of recording wrs is to show your skills to people. And since not all people have time/opportunity to download and watch demos, rotws are the best way to watch best wrs. He can play this game and break wrs but not record it... But he decided to show his skills to us, so be more kind and thankfull

I didn't say anything bad about rotw's. It was only once about the edition, cause it was kind of strange for me, imho (kzru_sunshine). And I'll tell you why Ovidu chose "1.6 ROTW #181 - R300K on bkz_dqvolski_most" instead of kz_cellblock - "it's overused map, let unknown maps to be known (c) Cyclop". Same with xtremeblock :)
You guys still didn't even try to read what I said clearly. I dont' want ROTW's. It's all about justice and some respect.
