A POST OVERFLOWED WITH TEARS
wtf finzer im not leaving anywhere completely, just sharing my feelings :)
@Mune Yes I am
I'm sorry I hurt your feelings back in the past ShoCky, you always were a hard man to talk with, maybe because you are smart hm ? Anyways, farewell my old friend !
Don't regret your past. You can have learned a lot from KZ things like persistency, pacience and sheer will. I felt like I raised those traits in myself, when I played.
It's all good WOOF, I've never taken you seriously just like pretty much anything on the internet, don't go hard on yourself. But why is everybody farewelling me?? wtf
It doesn't look like they are :D

That is pure shit statement people invented to comfort themselves about their past. You can tell that it was fun and that would be the only valid excuse to yourself. You could learn a lot more working 10 years as a refueler at a gas station. I don't really complain about my life/job/financial situation but I kinda regret I reached the point I'm at now only in 26 years old. If instead of playing kz I would have spent my 5k hours on business literature and would have opened my first business in 21 instead of 26. That is sad. But the fun was real anyway. You're a good guy Scary but be true to yourself.

Because you consider, sadly, that all the time spent in this game was a waste. But it's part of having fun man, having fun, and therefore enjoying good times, is the salt of living. Without it, life would be poor and empty.
I dont visit XJ as much as I used nor read forum posts or comment at all but this threat got me interested as i can relate to this in a big part. Youre right when it comes down to the "i couldve spent my time doing something much more meaningful" but i learned to never regret things I do.. people do things for a reason.. sometimes it makes more sense sometimes less. it all depends on how you are able to organize your daily routine. You can play videogames, you can do whatever makes you happy and yet still be productive and successful. Anyway i spend my fair share of time on XJ and i regret nothing.. i had a passion for it.. i had a passion for the game and still have. its part of us and always will be. now im gonna roll back just like you did.. thanks for the inspiration.. those were golden times.. and we did a great job.. all of us who used to be or still is a part of this community.. both admins and members. However everything comes to an end and eventually its time to say good bye like you said yet sometimes I still feel like damn.. i would like to beat a WR.. damn.. I would like to write some KZ related article and watch the reactions.. anyway.. thanks for this post and good luck in your life :)
heh shock, our "relationship" was like on a rollercoaster ... but it was fun tho! I remember in ~2013 when NeW used to talk abit about you during those weekly cups :)
Shock I have a song for this situation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ij99dud8-0A
Seriously tho, I'm also guilty of these on and offs ever since I learnt about kz. There was a time when I played quite a bit, because it was fun to explore those maps, get to the top and get better at those techniques. That's why I made maps for kz and why I still feel like doing something now.

This is very true PU9maker. But things started working for me this way just recently. Before, I didn't give it too much thinking and was just being impulsive with my likings and desires. Sure you can play video games from time to time, an hour a day or so, but the geeky times is what killed us at some point.
@Cobrex, yep it's crazy our relationship lol, probably the weirdest one I've had on internet :D When I first got to talk to you in somewhat 2011 you kindly offered me help with a rotw for kzru if I'm not mistaken. There were too many kind words between us but then it got further in time as the hate was all around the community then you went mad and tried to prove a point that seemed a bit silly to me, I guess that is where it all went from :D You've changed your attitude towards many things but not that it made me despise your or smth, that never really happened tbh, I was just letting my impulses out for the sake of fun, that is the Internet you know, none of us care that much or put some "real" meaning into the words we say :) We're good bro
@byob the maps you've made brought me a lot of the fun. It's the guys like you that build fun vibe around the community. All the guys who are map making or movie making deserve an incredible amount of recognition. You do!

Honestly I've always been a firm believer in wasting your time wisely - And even though you might disagree with me, I'm not ashamed or sad about the quests of my past. I set out to reach top 5 on the XJ frontpage and I did - Meanwhile I was a "slow" recorder with a laggy PC so many of my combo's failed even though they probably wouldn't have on a good computer. That thought me many things and I can honestly say that patience and consistency was two things that I strengthened during my "climb". I'm not trying to feel better about my past, I have many fond memories of playing KZ, and I could just aswell have wasted my time somewhere else, but when it had to be wasted, I'm glad it was spend in KZ - And I'm still here lurking, enjoying the ROTW's and what haves we.

BLuex bro you are the best, thanks for so kind words, much love for you too! <3 Glad to see you're still sticking around, haven't seen you in years until this one :)
Always here for you my friend :)
I've played so many games at a very high "intensity", from playing 1.5 to being Global Elite on CS:GO, including being Master on SC2, 2000 elo on LoL, having WRs on KZ, surf, slide, kzmod, CSS and so on... Literally thousands of hours, and here I am today, graduate engineer having a job interview for Google 2 days ago. Past made me who I am today, and I don't regret anything.
Anywho, I'm still having a blast playing from time to time, especially on kz-endo, you should give it a try if you didn't already !
