The discussions are surprisingly active on their github hl1 repository: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/halflife

Also for cs 1.6 rewrite (not official, old, idk if valve reads this): https://github.com/FWGS/cs16-client/tree/v1.32

The biggest improvement ever of any demo was done by DeathClaw when he took kzua_zp_hamunaptra_x from Spider1 with a time of 26:43.40, beating the previous record by 62:13.01. Previous time was 88:56.31

Wrong. The biggest improvement ever was when topoviygus beat .script on gbc_script_block_h. .script had 90:58.33, topoviygus did 10:36.96. That an improvement of 80:21.37, or 1 hour 20 minutes 21 seconds.

I know, I remembered that, but I'm talking about XJ :D

It's because you said "any demo ever".

Interesting fact could be the map (myb fu_extreme) which stays/stayed unbeaten for the longest time.

rawerecord holder Tournament #117/09/2019 19:50

Did you know that there was a literally unbeatable map? It was doesnt_bunnytranqui and its record was 00:00.01 by GODS. The map design had a flaw, where the end timer was next to the starting one, only divided by a wall. Eventually because of that, the map was removed.

I must say rawe gave the most interesting ones (atleast what i wanted) facts...my idea is to work like ingame:

Who has jumped with the highest lj stats?
1. propane
2. Otcheto
3. memek

So who answers corectly, gets some awards..new facts/questions are welcomed :)

team name was "hacker project" but they did it differently. they used ctrl button instead of mousewheel. they did one short duck and one long duck instead of two short ducks. it was used so you only hear 1 step instead of 2 steps when walking. thats a rare info you have though

JekkT28/09/2019 18:36

another interesting fact maybe "unbeatable demos", or demos that have been unbeaten the longest

Nubby-_-28/09/2019 18:46

did you know that a latvian player called "deus" tried to record 256 lj block for xj, he landed it once for the first time and then just for fun jumped again and did it 2x that was the first 256x2 ever i think
