Best cpu for counter strike 1.6

Not every potato can run this game. Only the most expensive pc can actually run 1.6 smoothly.

shooting star literally had to buy "$10k pc" in order to record JB maps somewhat consistently.

While playing on Non steam cs i dont see any fps issue, but for steam i see too. Can we blame 'Steam' platform but not cs 1.6..?

If you're going for the Ryzen CPU, you need to invest in some good memory, cuz Ryzen benefits HEAVILY from RAM overclocking. Not only it will help you gain more fps in other games, but CS will feel smooth and you will get rid of all the annoying lags, etc.
For example, my default build can get around 60 fps in some games without overclocking. But when I do overclock, I literally gain +20-25 fps from out of nowhere. The memory latency is also lower so it helps you get rid of the lags etc.
I can give you more info about all this things later if you want. It's not that hard.

Hey, could you give me a link of "Demo Explorer", I would like to do some tests myself.
I have way worst CPU/GPU then you and I never saw my FPS dropping below 100.

By no means I want to say the opposite but why would SS need 10k budget to land JBs constantly like spr1n did? I won't say I know spr1n setup but I am almost sure spr1n didnt have a 10k setup for years for jumpbugs, or other jumpers that manage to beat such maps with a lot of jbs. I am not saying you won't need 10k budget for JBs but most people wont do that and I don't really think a 10k budget is necessary for CS 1.6, thats my opinion.

It is a matter of opinion when the topic author didn't specify any budget or goal and assuming jumpbugs are a very specific technique and barely used in the current map pool from XJ how can we assume he needs a 10k setup to play cs 1.6? A 1k / 1.5k setup is more than enough to play cs 1.6 and provides you the possibility to play other good games that require more from the computer. By no means I am discussing the fact "you cant land JBS without 10k$" but the fact spr1n did pretty much what SS does years ago proves that you can land jumpbugs as well without a 10k$ machine. Again, if he has 10k for a setup why not, he will play everything he wants on 4k ultra for some years but spending 10k$ to play casual cs 1.6 or even beat some casual world records seems to be an overkill.

Evis: I didn't exactly understand the video but that he only landed one with 100 fps and failed others with 91/100 fps on the counter, is the 91 drop the cause of failing jbs?

Dude zythh you're taking it too literally, "10k PC" is a metaphore for a PC that doesn't have (or shouldn't have) problems running anything, it doesn't mean you literally have a PC that's exactly that expensive.

If you can get any PC to run CS at absolutely stable 99.9+ fps, you remove the randomness from landing jumpbugs and it becomes a technique about hitting a 10ms window timing of -duck +jump.

i dont get in depth with such things like this, cus i have a PC since 2008 and i just changed Graphic Card, Ram and CPU Fan, nothing else. same CPU and i can run and play cs like a boss.. i dont know what else would be different if i had a better PC in cs 1.6 version

ryzen 1600x with 16gb 2666mhz rams abd a rx480 gpu 4 budget, doesnt really struggle with anything
