longjump monster test
found this in some old news post, what was in the topic there, i am very interested.
It is gone forever :(
maybe faker has the results from his tests
i remember when that was released :P
To conclude:
faker found 800dpi/500Hz to be the best for lj and bhop (for him and his mouse)
on a Razer copperhead I believe
overclock mouse hz can damage ur mouse...

Copperhead takes 1000hz on a default setting :)
You can chose between 125, 500 and 1000hz.
But ye, on other mouses that doesn't have this defualt option and you increase the hertz in some other way it might damage it :)
That news was posted on my bday. lol
i use 1600 dpi/1000 hz on copperhead lj and bhop
Using 2500 dpi kz/lj/bhop Tried 800 dpi but I didnt see any difference..
well my question after all is what has been said in that post not with what dpi u play... ><
he posted his results of using differnt mouses at different hz's and dpi's
and soul said he concluded that
"faker found 800dpi/500Hz to be the best for lj and bhop (for him and his mouse)

hey :D repost it pls :D wanna read it tooooo^^
yes faker it would be really nice if you can repost this thread :)
lol I wrote it 1 year ago almost so I can't remember exactly what I've written.
I tested different combinations from 400 DPI to 2000 and from 125 HTZ to 1000. (400/125, 400/500, 400/1000, 800/125, 800/500, 800/1000, 1600/125 and so on) and tryed to figure out what is the best for various things such as bhops or longjumps.
But well... the result was just based on my personal expierences (800/500 on a copperhead worked well for me, that are the same settings as I used to have with my g5 new, too) but I 2000/500 work nice, too.
It was really kinda sensless because u have to find settings u can handle, there are no "ultimate" settings that work well for everyone.
But I guess 800/500 is something everybody can handle and do 250+ with.
cheers
How do I select these settings 800/500 ?

In your mouse drivers, if possible (if the hardware/mouse supports it).

hey 1 have one problem..
hm i try to overclock my usb by pooling from 125 to 250 and 500hz.. on 250 its ok but when i put it on 500hz my peak is 400.. cant get 500hz.. ok thats no problem but ot 250hz i found i big difference in lonjumping ,my strafes are super good ^^ hehe but my pre goes down to 269-270.
and the real problem is that when i make the pre w+d and move mouse to right it lags little .. and cant make good pre.. how can i fix that.. sry for my english
what was it that you tested? did you just change the sens and see if you could lj good with it? or did you actually have some constant thing for every setting that checked it accurately

I guess he tried some different DPI and sensitivity values. I like to use the maximum DPI :P
actually dpi doesnt matter. ive been playing with 2000 dpi, now im using only 800 and cant see the difference. the only thing that making difference are hertz, imo. my old mouse had 500hz, now i took 1k one and im feeling huge difference.
2Prof: lagging while doing pre can be that your mouse is old and u need the new one :> or check your mousepad, maybe its dirty etc.
