The story about your nickname.

Yo, I know a similar thread already exists (over here: http://xtreme-jumps.eu/forum_viewtopic.php?2.4110) but, it's from 2005 and last post was made in 2006, so I think that thread is pretty dead and outdated.

That's why I'm starting a new thread cause there's so many new members whom have joined this lovely community! :D

What is the story about your nickname?

I'll start; I choose my nickname (my very ugly nickname :X) cause I used to only play ka_maps (ka = knife arena == knifeing) before I started with kz_maps, and that nickname made itself pretty popular back then..so I just kept this ugly nick and now I don't want to change it since people wouldn't recognize me then, or maybe no one recognizes me by now? :)

Please satisfy the community and make some posts! Noobs are very welcome (especially omilo, tarGet and soul|ftw)!

I used to use Sh(`)wTime (showtime) & MaDSkiLLz, they were nicknames I got from soccer and basketball, IRL... Cuz I'm awesome. :P :!

But then I wanted something shorter and new. My name is Alan, and people sometimes call me Al, or Big Al, etc... so I chose aL-. The "-" is just to spice it up. :D

1337ard is pretty obvious, i played cs with another nick and i was great so i was 1337, but then someone called me a retard, and i mixed em to become 1337ard

My nick is inspired by the Metallica song Master Of Puppets.. I have some DVD called S&M (Symphony and Metallica)and I saw that they just wrote "Puppetz" on their setlist, instead of the long "Master Of Puppets", so, thought that sounded pretty cool, just made the Z big and added this "^" after, and that was it. I like those small signs after nicks, too. :)

well my nick name is the german word for "Hot"
so a friend and me were bored at lan .. so we called our self horney and hot (german = geil and heiss) just for fun .. and every headshot or teamkill somebody asked ... who is horney ... who is hot ... so the everyone answeres I AM HORNEY or I AM HOT ... and that was kinda fun ... well and i decided to keep the name though its german

It's a LONG story but okey, It started of when two of my classmates put a pink paperslip on my back and started calling me "Pinky flärpen Outsidé", then I shorted the nick and came up with Pf0.

After a while I changed to "Pfn0lliE" becase "n0ll = zero" in swedish, and after some time I wanted a more 1337 name so I changed to "Pf0llz0r" and that is my final nick o.O .... See, long story short :P

BTW I use snirrE^ sometimes when I play public ;)

When i started to play games i just used my first name (Max), but then i decided that i needed a nick.
I just took something out of thin air, at the time i had no idea why i chose Murvelman.

Several years later i was visiting my grandparents and going trough books i read as a small child, and i found a book named "Murvelman och spökgrottans hemlighet" ("Murvelman and the secret of the haunted cave" in english, or something like that, it's about a private eye named Rurik Murvelman).

I think that was the biggest WTF-moment in my life haha.
I've never actually read that book, but i guess it must have gotten in to my subconscious somehow...
"Murvel" is actually a disparaging term in swedish for "Journalist".

I don't really like it, but it's too late to change it now :D
