Well, opa i dont use any Vista Styles for Xp, i have a Modifikation of Windows Vista Ultimate x64, a designed version for Nvidia Chip Sets,
and that Version runs a bit Better then Normal Vista (dont use so much RAM etc)

1. Do you know uxtheme.dll patching and importing custom visual styles without any add-on program? It really doesn't fuck up RAM/Processor :)
Ofc it takes very small amount of recources, but not that big for me to notice even a tiny slowdown of PC.
2. Windows 7 is not supported by my chipset :D , so it basically doesn't run on my PC (although specifications are more than enough for w7)
3. I don't use vista cause this IS the thing that REALLY fucks up RAM and Processor :D
In other words, xp with small-recource-taking visual style is best choice for me.

aint that special lol.. just a version which already has some *outdated* drivers installed with some services disabled or something ;)
btw opa, win7 isn't anny better then vista yet, since there aren't any really optimized drivers out for it yet :B
atm the benchmarks between win7 and vista are like even, win7 only performs better on desktop apps if im correct
test it on low-performance computer and you will see a difference
