how do you do the CJ i have tried to learn it in 3 weeks now. You have to do to fast duck and then jump? the longest i can do it is 213 :/. pls help

13/07/2007 00:15IMO it's not that simple, when I first tried to learn it, I did like that, but you actually have to turn in the air after doubleduck, before it works properly. I showed it in Paint.

Once you made a doubleduck, release W and keep strafing to same direction as your prestrafe and jump off when you can. To make a good cj as possible you must make the doubleduck with only 2 ducks not more and they should be as closely timed as possible and performed while your prestrafe is as fast it can be.

Afaik you have to do the prestrafe same time with ducking, not after it. And also release W same time you are ducking not after you made the ducks.
why people don't understand that high prestrafe speed comes from that small strafe after duck

LOL why it took 3 weeks for you to get only 213? :D . All is in LJ & b hop skill if its low you wont get hith results in CJ .
B hop is the way how to hit perfect the +jump when you do it . and LJ for streif & perfect prestreif .

reinis6, I don't see nothing imberesing in this... I'm learning cj since it was released. 230cj is my rec when i have 247lj and 235bhop recs. So i'm noob to? Ya, maybe i'm not leet, but my recs aren't bad.
P.S. I fink this forum has a rule, that not allowes to make fun of other ppl skills. Don't forget, that who has bad skills in one tehnic, may have good skills in an other.
Is it really necessary to doubleduck cause i know many people who just duck once and still jump very far? I have 246 lj rec and im quite ok at bhopping i guess but i just don't make any progress in cj.
I only duck once and ive done 255+ cj(258 rec) many times(on stats). Im not an expert or anything but i would think doubleducking would be worse because you cant strafe as good while crouched.
btw i only really started CJing since bibo's new movie was released( i had tried it before and my rec was like 245). So yeah its not that hard to get the hang of it, just treat the small crouch hop like a bhop and you should be ok

cj is a lil bit shitty to do :> also learning about 2 weeks, longest was 247. Hate cj :> but it's damn fun doing them :<
