today I saw someone with 274 prestrafe,305 maxspeed, 80 sync and just 219 units xD
- bad strafelength
- fucked up last strafe
- 180° strafe @ end
whatever
could have many reasons :P
maxspeed as it says MAXspeed. it doesn't mean AVERAGE speed ;)
So u can have an ubernice maxspeed @ 4th strafe and after that u can fuck the 5th strafe and have a bad lj ;)
Sync = You can have 100% which doesn't mean that this longjump was perfect.
how say that u have exact perfect strafelength?
it's "just" how the mousemovement accords with the strafe keys.

i just 250+ with only 60-70 sync so idk =/
and with cj i get 255+ sometimes when i have the highest sync ive gotten is in the 70s lol
yea sync i fucked up!! 240+ with 4 strafes and sync 60 is normal! and prestrafe over 270 isnt a guarantie for 240+
its the timing of your duck for a good LJ
popit 100 is definatly possible even with low pre and maxspeed ^^ 4th one down

1. prestrafe has nothing to do with your sync.
2. I think 100 is only possible with one strafe.
3. many strafes + high sync = high maxspeed.

let's explain my picture (the picture isn't painted on that facts so thats why i have to explain ^^):

red line:
- Strafes with an angle of about 175°
- sync 95%
- many strafes
- long hangtime in air before next strafe
green line:
- Strafes with about 45°
- sync 50%
- less strafes
- short hangtime in air before next strafe
I would say, the strafes on red line would brake my speed down, don't matter if if the strafes keys compared with the mouse moves are 95% synchron.
So therefore i would say, that i would get a higher maxspeed in "green way" (also when the strafe keys are only 50% synchronical to the mouse moves) as in the red way.
i don't know it for sure. it's only that i think that ;)
i think also
the timing of the strafes (angle of the strafe and duration of the strafe) is MUCH more important to do a good longjump distance as the prestrafe, maxspeed, synchronical stuff
