13/11/2007 17:59Just a little addition to make it even more clear:
kz_ maps are no "free" maps, and kz_ doesn't mean climbmap (yes it does, but not orignally).
kz_ means Kreedz map, and this tag is given or denied by special people in the communty. This means there is a special quality check, and only good maps deserve to have the kz_ tag in their name.
In former times these people giving the kz_ tag were Kreedz himself followed by kzmaps, and nowadays it is XJ and the XJ mapteam.
For your map(s) that does mean that you are NOT allowed to name your map kz_ and publish it before it got quality checked and accepted by XJ.
Ofc we can't stop you doing so and you can put the kz_ tag on and play it on your servers, but everyone that is familiar with XJ and knows what's up in the kz world will regard your map as a fake map and therfore expect low quality...
So what do we learn out of this? Right: Don't release or publish your map before it got accepted. If you want to play a beta with your friends, put a password on the server.

during beta testing on maps ive worked on, ive forgotten to password the server and a few people have downloaded previous versions. whats do be done?
I didn't know that the clan leader was going to open a server without password?
What about if i change the name? :O

And wouldn't you feel pissed off, if your (Hard Work) Map, wasn't accepted, because you clan leader is an idiot?

Kz - Kreedz, Kreedz called his maps for kz_maps, and he invented the climbing map, and climbing maps were ALSO called kz maps. Kz maps can be any kind of map, it is just the kreedz tag. A bhop map can also be called a bhop map, though it is a custom, because the most normal kind of kz is climbing maps...
