KZ after time ..
Well i was thinking .. what will happen with KZ after 10-15-20 years? all which make wr now will be 30+ and maybe married with children so what will happen with kz after time? will it be alive in 5 years or more? o.O

Yea, it'll be around. But CS 1.6 will slowly die as newer games with better graphics and more gameplay options come out.
In 10 years everyone is going to have better computers that can run better games, so they won't need to play games with bad graphics.
Atleast thats what I think.
Even if the KZ wr-holders gets old, there will probably be a new generation of jumpers, that are just beginners now...
Or it'll die like ajR says.

well, there are also NOW players which are 30+ and married and still play kz.
marry don't mean that you stop kz :D
I think the computertechnology will get into a new generation where it is not possible to play cs. Even if you try to emulate it...

but old hardware/software won't stop working immediately. ;) and people are still speed running old games which are running on old consoles, such as super nintendo, game boy etc. :D and i've thought kz is fun for like 3 years now, and i still think it's fun even though i don't play it. but im sure i will start again sometime cause it's such a fun game. :D
I don't know only one game that is comparable to the movement of CS1.6. So I guess, the story is going to end in the next years and at last when Steam stops supporting it. :(

knife,take a look at the good old games which were made for win95/98! most of them don't work on OS like XP or Vista... that's sad..and I think this or sth like that will happen to cs/kz
kz wont die, but wont progress too i think. to late to progress. i think there will be same situation as with quake(2-3) or half-life, there still are players but it isnt polular nowadays.

19/01/2008 15:09well not that many ppl plays kz like normal cs, so kz will probably die in max 10 years (imo) but normal cs will live longer cuz millions of ppl shoots eachother day by day.
but i hope kz will live forever <3
@colix: be lucky when kz is surviving 2-3 years from now.

But I think that KZ will only die 'cause the longjumps got invented. That seems like the only thing people care about these days.

Some longjumpers are impressing, I guess, but I don't care about it and most of the others also don't.

yes, but there will surely still be interests in cs (since it's one of the most played games in the world, and it's very fun).

all these games a pretty much outdated, but its still much interest in most of the games even though they were made 10 years ago or so:D
also today not every1 have the best hardware, but when people buy new hardware i think they will be interested in testing kz maps with _constantly_ 100fps, and no lags at all:D its much more fun to play with a real fast pc then with a pc that get will get drops to 98 fps sometimes on the bigger maps
