More Strafes = more far you go?
with 4 strafes you can get the same speed as 8, but with 4 your going diagonally but not with 8, so basically yea u can go further with 8, even tho 6-7 is easier to sync
yes, i can do 250 stats with 4 strafes and 340 maxspeed. but in those jumps strafes are way too big to make better distance. but with 9 strafes its easy to do 250 stats with 310 maxspeed.

yea ! i got 340 maxspeed with 5 strafes once :D
its not so hard make 9 strafes but 9 good strafes its hard :)
The easiest way to get 240 maxspeed is with one strafe :P

I do 11 strafes on a 250 jump. prestrafe 275, maxspeed about 335-340
Sync 60-70.
Hey, don't think that I'm able to do 11 strafes all the time, it's a rare jump where I wiggle my mouse more than I can control.
8-9 = perfect strafe count, any more and you lose units and maxspeed due to inability to control as well as lack of enough distance per strafe.
LAST comment:
When you turn to do the next strafe, you loose speed. That is why 1 strafe is easy to max, big strafes will give you a lower maxspeed (t3d niconen) where smallstrafes (bibo) will give you more maxspeed. But I bet that bigger strafes give you a longer jump. I'm not quite sure about this last quote.
All this said, then there is no doubt that bibo is the best longjumper in the world.

if ppl starts geeking with 9 strafes like i do.. 256 and 257 blocks would be done very quickly. but with 9 strafes its extremely hard to get a good timing and DUCK. i've missed 254 and 255 blocks with 256 stats few times :F

And it's very usual me to get 90 sync.
