i had the same problem... for me it was stuck at 245 unit block due to lack of max speed (~300 all the time). so i read around here and figured out that the first strafe was my problem. tested and got this today ^^

And Critiline, try to do more blocks 250 stats record and 245 block isn't good. Normally we have block ~3 units below your stats rec

Nice :) When I first discovered it, I made 250 stats every second jump! Too bad I can't do it anymore :( On topic, your first strafe is really HUGE! It could be a little smaller I guess.
on 6 strafes i think the best way to strafe is like oTcHeCo:
2 huge strafes + 2 medium strafes + 2 small strafes.
i seem to be stuck @ 300 speed still. Im not making 230 block at all!. jumping 233-237. Seems like i just like before with first strafe.

well, seems like you could fix the prioblem with your first strafe, now just practise, your sync is just bad, thats all..
i suggestion practising normal climb maps and bhop maps, that will help you find a good feeling for your strafes.

I have been playing kz for 6 months now, and I can only do standup bhop and jump 225 units :I How are you guys so fast to learn? :D
yeah, I think I have seen a guy who jumped his first 250 2 weeks after discover kreedz.

I still say, STOP doing this fucking longjumps, go play normal KREEDZ, trying to use strafes and doing stand/bhops.

look at my first strafe - it's like twice as big as yours and that makes a lot speed. probably your sensitivity is too low or you should wiggle your mouse faster and a bit further...

before months when i was active jumper i was doing 248 like normal jump , but now trying get back my skillz and tell me where are my mistakes ,ty btw Nartan i think u need more and more practice after that u will see the results ;P
your mis7ake is the maxpeed and sync. Strafe faster and longer. use high sensibily if you think its slow.
Iv'e been jumping kz for like 4 days now. my improvements have been none. I seem to jump 242 at max now. cant exeed that. All thanks to stopping kz_longjumps2.

It could be that your settings are bad.
Add this to launch options if you have not yet "-noforcemparms -noforcemspd -noforcemaccel".
Try activating mouse filter (m_filter 1 in console).
Try lowering mouse sensitivity and make bigger mouse movements.
When you strafe be sure that only one key is pressed all the time and not two which lowers the maxspeed.
