Sry but you cant call yourself a mapper by placing 4 squares behind another annd put it into a square room, no matter if its fun or not!

Sry maybe a bit hard words but i think anyone who has a brain can see if a map looks good or not! I continue only 40% of my maps cuz i dont like the design or something of the rest! Dunno i think a map is something you should be proud of! And i cant be proud of a simple ugly map!

totally agree with veer. thats what I wanted to say, the most realistic thing would be that XJ starts to accept cool maps, not good looking ones :/ With a comeback of kreedz that would be done probably :8
the latest new maps are just got boring and thats not the fault of the mappers in my eyes. a system change on map releases shold be done, really.

just a suggestion:
instead of making polls like "What do you think the xj weekly should be called?" they should make a poll saying "what do u care more about in maps" and then 2 options "looks" "jumps", and if jumps win, we need some change :D, if looks win then everything stays the same.

agree. structure and jumps making map fun and cool first of all. u can make awesome textured map with boring jumps and no one gonna play that, while gray and shitty look map will be filled with player just cuz jumps are great...

IF you actually gave a damn you would notice that the map check team wont accept a map just because it looks good, and if a map is really fun but is looking boring, they tell em to fix the theme then resubmit. So I dont see the problem here?
