its just that its wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more fun to play all those unofficial maps that you can just geek for a really long time and never get bored, most of the time i see a notkz_map come up on a server the server always fills up

agree. structure and jumps making map fun and cool first of all. u can make awesome textured map with boring jumps and no one gonna play that, while gray and shitty look map will be filled with player just cuz jumps are great...
IF you actually gave a damn you would notice that the map check team wont accept a map just because it looks good, and if a map is really fun but is looking boring, they tell em to fix the theme then resubmit. So I dont see the problem here?
Isn't it a problem that they tell them to fix the theme and resubmit? Making an ugly and complete map pretty isn't very easy nor really fast, so they probably just give up and give the map for some servers which would host it.

Another problem, your not a mapper. And you are a bit superficial. Saying "change the theme" is very simple, but its not a simple job just to restyle your complete map with a other "theme". But, because your not a mapper I see your just talking from a jumper/non-mapper perspective so I understand that. But dont just trow some random lines into this forum

Whats wrong with checkpoints? Its verry effective for those who cant make all jumps so they can finish the map.. Otherwise there would be so many KZ-players I think. People wouldnt continue playing if they couldnt complete a map.
it's okay now but i remember how much i got pissed of at them when they were invented. it ruined the very beginning concept of kz (imo) but this concept has changed nowadays...
