yeah i have binded MMheeldown +duck on my deathadder, then a milisecond (18 units) before hiting ground you scroll and voila ;D

Caffeine16/01/2009 08:43

did a 18units land EdgeBug, but without demo :P

anny016/01/2009 13:03

didn't test this tech yet, but seem to me that it's as hard (or even harder) as doing a jumpbug with +jump 'n +duck no?

Caffeine16/01/2009 16:06(edited 18/01/2009 13:40)

18units land EdgeBug is easy, but 18units land JumpBug is hard(than usual JumpBug) -- i used NumB's JBTainer one day, i did JumpBug but nothing happened, i dont know why, maybe its a 18Units land JumpBug.

doesnt know if these are right or not:

x is about 0.000001 to 4 units (not sure the max is 4 units or not, but should < 18 units)

usual JumpBug: frame1 happen @ about x units higher than ground And frame2 happen @ >0 units higher than ground

18units land JumpBug: frame1 And frame2 happen @ about 18 units higher than ground

usual EdgeBug( demo ): frame1 happen @ about x units higher than ground And frame2 happen @ about x units away from the edge

18units land EdgeBug( demo ): frame1 happen @ about 18 units lower than ground And frame2 happen @ about >18 units away from the edge

18units land JumpBug: frame1 happen @ about 18 units higher than ground

usual EdgeBug: frame1 happen @ about 0-4 units higher than ground And frame2 happen about 0-4 units away from the edge

your explanations are not correct, and I don't think that so much nofalldmg techniques exist +I think that these random plugins have many bugs and u guys are messing-up with them and discovering "new" techniques :D the demo u showed is just a edgebug

Ryderc16/01/2009 19:59

Ichwill go pwnd the new fake technique :p

i uploaded two demos:

usual_eb: http://rapidshare.com/files/184713626/usual_eb.rar.html

18units_land_eb: http://rapidshare.com/files/184383727/18units_land_eb.rar.html

Yes 18units_land_eb is an EdgeBug, but with a special height.

if u still dont believe my test plugin's stats. sry, i dont know how to check these demos if the stats are right or not.

it's new technique - Yes, because of the special height
it's old technique - Yes, because this is a Jump Bug(or Double-Duck Jump Bug :D)

// edit PS

18units_land_eb.dem

i didnt press +duck key, i pressed +jump. maybe hl engine make it AutoDuck or something ??

This is just because you made on edgebug up and one edgebug ducked....

Really impressive :s

NumB11/02/2009 22:39(edited 11/02/2009 22:40)

omg... those demos were just a simple jb with just scrolling duck on mwheel after making jb... Just like with my mball. And that 18 unit bug is when you land, but you land 18.0 units lower the edge. And cuz of that engine bugs some times and thinks that you'r on ground and uses sv_stepsize... Omg... Some years ago there was a thread about this with a demo on hj. Some admin with fps-death confirmed that + made an image. The end.

wandereR11/02/2009 23:09

there was a thread like this about 1-2 mounts ago i think...

where is that thread ? is there any explanation ? is it useful or the demo was cheated with sv_stepsize or smth else ?

It was some years ago (I think in "jump talk" or "jumps" selection). Will take too much time to search for that thread so I wont. Yes - bug is useful - you can longjump higher distance with it. However no1 couldn't explain how that bug works (even eDark if I'm right, so am guessing that it works by sv_stepsize cvar. But how engine reproduces the bug - have no idea).

tAST-_-29/10/2009 09:17
